Disappointing Experience at Drink Coffee

I was really looking forward to trying out Drink Coffee Do Stuff but unfortunately, my experience was marred by a case of food poisoning. I visited the café Monday morning on my last day visiting from out of state and ordered their Horchata coffee special but within 1 hour of consumption, I started feeling unwell. I instantly got the worst stomach ache and threw up for over 14 hours.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, I was surprised that a establishment like Drink Coffee Do Stuff , which prides itself on quality and customer satisfaction, could fall short on food safety standards. I hope that the management takes steps to address this issue and ensures that their customers have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Found a cute cafe in historic downtown Truckee called Drink Coffee Do Stuff and met the guy that runs the place “Kam.” He cheerfully agreed to make his avocado toast on my GF bread. He makes the avocado mash with olive oil and shakes Everything But The Bagel seasoning on top. Yum! The cappuccino was well-executed and tasty. The decor is mountain-sporty, with plenty of seating inside and out, and lots of windows, including some that look out on the train track. Added bonus to feel the train roll by! I kept seeing DCDS here and there and was wondering what in the world it was until I popped into Drink Coffee Do Something right in front of COMO where we just had lunch. I smelt the fresh coffee from across the street and I KNEW it was where one can get excellent brew. And boy oh boy was I right. I walked in at 2:45pm and the line was to the door. Undaunted, I waited 25 min to finally get my order in, I had this lavender espresso coffee and it was I think the best coffee I’ve had in my life.
