Being a local here for 25 years, I try to shop locally and support our community businesses as much as possible every Christmas season. This experience today was beyond disturbing. Denise, the manager, was very aggressive, raised her voice with me when I asked a question, and was more concerned with policing a mask policy than appreciating my business, which would have taken me 2 minutes to find and purchase. Is that the community we've become? Faceless, angry, patrolling members that not only care nothing about a healthy paying patron of their business, but also feel the right to harass and discriminate against their customers? As a long time business owner myself in this community, I would be so ashamed and remorseful if any of my employees treated anyone, a customer or not, in this manner. Getting back to basics is crucial. I will unfortunately only give business to those who uphold those basic policies of politeness, kindness, and understanding, regardless of how our views and needs may differ. I encourage the owners to take note of this review and others that are similar (it's unfortunate that they haven't ever seemed to respond). As small businesses, every customer counts and word travels quickly. Policy is one thing, and I fully respect your business rights to choose those policies and refuse service. However, it is with that same freedom that we, as free citizens, have the right to choose for ourselves, and kindness is never negotiable and should always remain a...
Read moreI tried four different pieces - three of which were solid and one of which was amazing!
Firsts off, they have quite a selection of fudge. And as soon as I walked in the door they offered me a sample of the chocolate. It was super sweet and melted in my mouth. I definitely considered getting some, but they sell pretty large pieces and I knew I couldn't finish one on my own.
So I moved on to their Chocolate/Truffle case. They don't have the largest selection I've ever seen, but they had interesting choices.
Peanut Butter Cup - Made with milk chocolate and what tastes like your average Jeff Peanut Butter, which is perfectly good for me. My only complaint is that it was messy. The peanut butter wasn't actually contained by the chocolate. Instead, it was simply a lay of chocolate, a layer of peanut butter and another layer of chocolate. So as soon as I bit into it the peanut butter squeezed out everywhere.
Black Forrest Truffle - Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ganache inside a dark chocolate shell. Just what I want! Dark chocolate with a little tang!
Oreo Bark - I don't know what else to call it. Basically, it looked like they're taken a tray of broken Oreos and completely covered them with caramel and milk chocolate. This was by far my absolute favorite! So much so that hubby and I instantly went back for another piece. Why doesn't every place make this? It's so simple!
Anyway, this place is great!...
Read moreChocolates are good. Me and my family come here every year when we visit. Unfortunately today, we had a horrible experience with this man who works here.. Who literally yell at me to back off while looking at some of the chocolates in the shelf by the line. I am a 43 year old man and do not appreciate been talked to as a child, specifically when I was doing much more then waiting in the long line and looking at different packages of chocolates to buy. We just left and we will not return again, as all it takes is one horrible experience as this one to ruin a place. After realized how many negative reviews they had about the same subject. I went back to the store to try to have an educative and constructive conversation with the manager, who basically told me the guy was right and wrong at same time. And probably didnât realize he was yelling. And that they see about 1000 people per day and are doing the best they can. I told him it wasnât enough. Three need to speak with customers politely. I would love to speak with the owner of this store. Because I have never been so rudely treated before. And wouldnât hate for anyone else to...
