I received very rude and concerning service from this location today. Tina was the employee who fixed my order, while checking out I noticed that she was being aggressive with her service ( she snatched the coupon I had, and she told me prices of things that I had not inquired about but had simply looked at). After she cashed me out, she left and went to the back, leaving me standing there. I checked my receipt and noticed I was charged differently than what was on the coupon (which the coupon was the reason I decided to eat there today) she pokes her head from the back and asks if there is a problem, I stated the differences in the charges, she states that they do not have a button that will allow them to charge the correct price. But it’s not that much different. I said I know but there is still a difference so very rudely asks if I want the difference back, I replied yes, and she opens the drawer and tosses me the change all while mumbling under her breath. She then walks back to the back. I stood in the same spot until she pokes her head out again and says is there something else I can do for you, I replied yes I would like a number for corporate. She rudely says it’s on your receipt just call the number and tell them or go to google it will come up. I asked how exactly can I get to the information through google Tina says just put in subway and it will come up. At this time the assistant manager comes out and she writes down the website for me. While the assistant manager is helping me. Tina who is standing right behind her states that I come in all the time with problems. At this point I am shocked and appalled as this was my first time in this location! I stated that I have never been here before, Tina replies “yes you have because I remember your face!” I state “you cannot possibly remember by face because I have never been here I only came because I received these coupons in my mail and decided to use them”. Tina then replies “ well there is a lady that comes in and y’all look alike, y’all have the same face”. I was completely shocked and asked is this why you are being rude to me? Tina and her manager walked back to the back after pointing at the receipt and instructions telling where to direct my complaint. I called out to them that I needed one more thing. Tina comes from the back and asks what is it? I replied “A REFUND” at this point she looks surprised so I continued and stated “I refuse to spend one penny in a place that discriminates against me because of how I look!” “ I will take my coins to firehouse subs before I allow you to have my money” the assistant manager then comes and apologizes states that she will talk to Tina and begs me not to complain if she gives me the food for free. She states that it won’t happen again to which I reply “you are correct because I will not be back and I hope the woman who “looks” like me never comes back as well! This experience was very unsatisfactory and I feel very disrespected as a human as well as a customer. Needless to say I won’t have a use for these coupons in my mailbox and will make sure my family and friends do not make use of...
Read moreI will never eat at this Subway again. The Veterans Administration sent me a email saying that along with other restaurants, Subway was offering veterans a benefit to thank us for our service, in this case free 6 inch sub on Veterans Day. The email clearly said that Subway locations were owned by individual franchisees so some locations may not be participating.
With this in mind, I asked the gentleman behind the counter whether they were providing had a special free 6 inch sub for veterans. In a very strong foreign accent he said he hadn’t heard anything about it. I could see how some franchise owners may not won’t to participate in thanking veterans for their service, but I found it particularly strange that that would be the case anywhere in Alabama given the strong support of usually given to veterans in this state.
The fact that I did not get a sandwich at this subway location in itself is not a big deal. What I found offensive is that a franchise owner intentionally decided not to participate in an effort to thank veterans for their service and didn’t even. Inform their employee about the offer. Not only am I going to never use never step foot in this subway location again I’m going to spread the news that this franchise owner refuses to thank veterans for...
Read moreEvery time I go into Subway I really feel like more people should know about it. I have been in here three times in the past 3 weeks, and each time I have been served by a different person with the service has been the same. That service has been simply awesome. I have no qualms with tipping the employees because they deserve it. One lady one time even offered me fresh cookies when I had to order them and she said they came right out of the oven and let me just tell you those jokers were so soft and delicious. Each time I've ordered a different sub, but it doesn't matter they all taste great. Although I am a little frustrated with Subway and the price increase, that has nothing to do with the staff at this particular Subway. I encourage anyone who is in the Edwards lake Road area to come by and try the subway it's located on the corner of the shopping center next to McDonald's. Thank you so much to the staff and to the people that continually serve me here and...
