10:44 AM: I arrive at the doors. I know it doesn't open until 10:45 so I wait.
10:45 AM: I stand at the door half expecting an employee to come open the door but they're all scrambling to do stuff in the restaurant I figure for opening however one male employee (employee 1) stands at the counter staring back at me.
10:47 AM: The same employee that was staring at me from the counter comes over and opens the door.
I walk over to the counter to order my food. I immediately notice that several items are not yet laid out for serving (white & brown rice for example). The same employee that opened the door for me asks me what I'd like to order. I say a bowl. To which the employee notices that none of the rice is out. Employee 1 calls to employee 2 that the rice is not made. Employee 2 immediately goes to the back and presumably starts putting the rice together. Employee 3 who is sweeping and cleaning things up while the cashier (employee 4) is standing there doing nothing asks me if I'd like white or brown rice. Employee 2 stands there awkwardly while I'm waiting for for the rice to be brought out probably 2 or 3 minutes later. I go through the rest of the line without any issues until I get to the register to cash out. Employee 4 brought out two tills and a coin till. Here employee 4 and employee 5 are sorting through a stack of what I assume to be chipotle terminal access cards to ring me up. There are various words and names written in sharpie with the cards.
10:53 AM: Up until now I was the only customer. People started to trickle into the restaurant. Employee 3 comes over to help them and then there's a scene of employee 3, 4, and 5 feverishly swiping away at every card in their stack trying to get the POS unlocked. While this is happening I'm noticing that employee 4 is swiping her cards upside down from the other two employees. After several attempts and close to 10 minutes later they finally get the right card to which none of them know how to assign drawers/tills until they finally figure it out and are able to ring me up.
10:59 AM: I leave the chipotle very annoyed.
Long story short: opening procedures should probably be done a lot sooner than while the customer is at your register waiting to be checked out 10 minutes after already opening.
Update: 10/29: 11:00AM. Exactly two weeks after I last came here. I get to the register and the lady in front of me is told she'll have to wait some time to cash out because "they're still...
Read moreI have visited this store approximately 10 times as I work in the Tucker area. Every single time I've been there, the lack of speed of the employees is mind blowing. No one seems to care about their job. I have experienced very short lines of five or six people max and the whole process still take an exuberant amount of time. There is no connection or welcoming feeling from the staff.
The last three visits my food has not been fresh in comparison to other experiences at most chipotle restaurants. I've had dry, hard, cold chicken and hard rice that almost broke a tooth. I was even given one of your BOGO coupons to make up for a day when the person that was on torts ignored and/or forgot our six requests for a tortilla all the way down the line. I made it to the cashier and still didn't have it. The cashier called for it and it still didn't get made. This is all a lack of care, respect and appreciation.
Today I came in to grab a bowl to go only to find the steak be dry and extremely low and the chicken to be out. The girl had to ask someone to drop chicken. There was no sense of urgency yet I was the second person in line and would also be wanting chicken. I looked on as I watched the girl scoop the very bottom of the cold chicken that was left and put it into the bowl of the girl before me. I would be embarrassed to serve food that way. There was no chicken even on the grill so that means we would have to wait about 10 minutes to get chicken.
I come from a long line of the service industry and I am appalled every time I go in there and it's so unfortunate that there isn't one closer to my home or I would never come here again. I think you need to look into some serious retraining of your management and/or employees and get that ball rolling ASAP. No one at this restaurant cares. I'm angry I supported this place and bought 12 burritos...
Read moreI just wanted to share something that happened at your location on Friday, July 11 around 10:50 PM that really left me feeling uncomfortable and honestly kind of grossed out.
There’s a guy who’s usually working when I come in, and I’ve noticed several times that he’ll be cleaning — like touching spray bottles or surfaces — and then goes straight to handling food without changing his gloves. It’s happened more than once, but tonight was the worst it’s ever been.
He had just been using a sponge that was soaking in soap and water, and his gloves were dripping wet. Then, without changing them, he grabs a bowl and asks me what I want. I was so taken aback that I asked if he could please change his gloves, and instead of just doing it, he sighed loudly and rolled his eyes — it was so unprofessional and honestly made me feel disrespected as a customer. I ended up walking out.
I’m not the type to complain or try to get anyone in trouble, but when it comes to food safety, it’s serious. I’ve seen this happen before with other customers, too. I really hope someone in management can check the camera footage from that night — what happened is all there.
I don’t want anyone to lose their job, but if someone is putting customers at risk like this and it keeps happening, I do think it needs to be addressed. I’m genuinely shocked it happened so blatantly.
Thanks for listening, and I really hope there’s actions taken against this worker I and many people don’t feel safe eating at this location until he’s removed. (Y'all know he does this...
