Let's begin with the restaurant itself. The decor is incredible! The lighting is perfect for a family dinner or a date night. The staff were genuinely kind and caring. Couldn't ask for a better experience when walking into a restaurant for the first time to order take-out.

The menu was loaded with so many delicious sounding options that I had a hard time choosing before settling on a 10" Jaime's Favorite pie with a side of the Garlic Grana Knots.

Jaime's is a scratch kitchen, and the quality shows.

The crest has a wonderful bite to it. Thin enough to be crisp, but not so thin it gets lost in the mix.

The sauce is perfection. A beautiful blend of tangy tomato with herbs and spices. Unlike most chain restaurants, Jaime's has no added sugar in the sauce with is a mark of putting the product above the profits.

The star of the pizza is the house made sausage. A perfect mixture of spicy, savory, and herby. This is a can't-miss topping for any meat eater. But, don't fret, Jaime's has vegetarian options too!

Overall, the pizza was exactly what I have been looking for Tucson for over a decade. Supreme quality and care.

Next, let's discuss the garlic grana knots. This is where their dough really shines. They have a beautiful flavor without any dipping sauce. The garlic and grana cheese are a wonderful pairing and lead to a desire to forgo the pizza and focus solely on the knots.

And, here is where the service shined brightest. I was offered a serving of the house made ranch for the knots, and as a lover of ranch, I jumped on it. This ranch is an exquisite compliment to the knots, and is also a top-tier product. It was apparent from my first taste that this sauce is fresh! The herbs are balanced on a razors edge, and stand proud. I want to have this ranch in a bottle in my fridge over Hidden Valley every day!

If you are looking for fresh, authentic, scratch-made pizza in Tucson. This is the restaurant to visit. You will leave with a full belly, and a smile on your face.

Follow-up: I have returned to see if my first visit was an example of quality or luck. The pizza was still fabulous! I built my own and it's as I remembered. I decided to test out the house salad and the sweet bbq wings this time.

The salad was incredibly fresh with more than just the generic chopped romaine. The other veggies give great flavor and pair well with the house ranch.

The sweet bbq wings were a surprise. I am always skeptical when I see wings which aren't fried. And, of course, Jaime's defied my expectations. The meat was juicy, the sauce delicious and tangy, and the pieces were large!

This place just gets better each...

I was in town for work and in search of a great pizza place.. A quick scan of Google reviews revealed Jaime's as a strong contender, so I thought I'd give them a shot..

After a 20-minute drive from my hotel on the east side of town and after finding a parking place nearby, I strolled to Jaime's and was immediately taken in by its curb appeal along Congress Street..

The interior of the building had a bit of an industrial vibe and was inviting.. The fellow behind the counter quickly directed me to the menus and let me know to order at the counter when I was ready..

I'm all about pepperoni pizzas.. I always have been, and I always will be, so that's what I opted for on this Tuesday evening..

The 10" double pepperoni pie was delivered to my table piping hot and more than amply topped.. The thin crust was light and crispy despite the generous application of pepperoni..

The pizza was quite flavorful and well worth the 20-minute commute from one side of town to the other.. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement..

As far as beverages go, they offer several beer and wine selections, and even offer a margarita, which I tried.. It wasn't bad, but they certainly do pizzas better than they do margaritas.. A beer would be my selection for a future visit..

As for future visits are concerned, I would definitely return should my business travels bring me to Tucson in the future.. I will be sure to bring someone to share the pie with, though.. While I muscled through, I really would have rather only eaten half, but it was quite deelish, so I wasn't really...

We when in town for s concert, decided to check out the local foof, Food was amazing, bit took over 40 minutes for our food, 1 LG cheese pizza, 6 piece wings. After 15 minutes our wings came out, were told our pizza would be done in a few minutes....then the wait started. After 10 minutes, I inquired about our pizza they said oh a few more minutes I said okay after 5 minutes I checked again and they said oh I'm sorry it's going to be another 15 minutes before your pizza is done, I asked what happened they didn't know. They said maybe your pizza got burned but we had to remake it okay so I waited again and then I inquired to find out when our pizza was done and then they lost our pizza so at this point one of the other guys wanted us to wait for it to be remade again but thank God the guy at the front said no they've been waiting 40 minutes and took another cheese pizza from another order to satisfy our order mind you we've already waited 40 minutes and our wings have sat there this whole time. Finally get back to the hotel to eat and no ranch for our wings....

I was at the bar next door last night. Apparently the same ownership. I closed out my tap after having a drink and we left the bar. I did not realize I was never given my credit card back. About 20 mins later I received multiple notifications of charges to my credit card. I then noticed I did not have my card. I went back to the bar and asked if my card was there. The bartender initially said she didn’t have the card. She then said she did have my card behind the bar but could not explain all the charges. I’ve since had to put a hold on credit card and am waiting for this establishment to reimburse these charges. If you come to Tucson do not patronize a place that will steal from you.

No wonder I didn't like the pizza, they gave me the wrong one. I ordered a Los Tres Cerditos and they gave me a Jamie's Favorite. I found it to be overly wet with way too much garlic. If it's minced garlic out of a jar, stop using that stuff. Use freshly diced cloves. You can't put fresh red onions and fresh red bell peppers on a pizza without first reducing the water content of each. They need to be sautéed and caramelized before being put on a pizza. This would be a way better pizza if they did all that. I ate one slice of the pizza at the bar and gave the rest to a homeless guy on the way home. Definitely a disappointing experience.
