My companions and I were in Tupelo craving a sweet treat, so we decided to give Funky Cones a try. They use the trendy bubble waffle cone--made fresh onsite--as the foundation for all the deliciousness that one can imagine for toppings. If building your own cone creation from the huge menu of options is overwhelming, you can always go with one of their set selections. We chose the Strawberry Delight which includes the original waffle, vanilla ice cream, strawberry puree, whipped cream, condensed milk, and strawberry syrup. Read moreWe visited Funky Cones for the first time with no idea what to expect. My wife and I both ordered a waffle cone unsure of what exactly we were getting. We checked the website for their hours each time and it said they would be open. Unfortunately, every time there was a sign on the door saying they have closed early due to "Unforseen Events". We understand that happens, but we find it funny that the sign has consistently said the same thing. At some point, you have to have a business that runs during the posted hours otherwise, you won't last. Inconsistency will kill your business. If your customer base can't trust your hours, get tired of making the trip for nada, and there is no consistency, then you might as well close your doors and save...
