As we live in hotels worldwide and 40+ nights in Hilton just year we were excited to see the positive reviews and stay at a newer Home2 suites. The hotel is new and not beaten up yet. The doors and walls seem a little thin relative to other Home2 suites. The maids in the hallway don’t seem to understand this and are quite in everything they do. Whether talking to each other or making up rooms.
Our room was made up very well. No tv remote, no paper towels, Kleenex had 2 tissues left, not bath mat and no sponge.
We decided to spend a second night and this when we experienced the true unprofessional staff at their worst.
At 11:15am with our DND sign on the door we had a loud knock. It was house keeping asking us why we were not checking out. So the non communication between the front desk and housekeeping became our problem.
We tried to enjoy the gas fireplace outside but were interrupted by a maid taking her smoking break next to us!!! So we had to leave.
I asked to speak to a manager but she could not grasp the guest first concept and said it was policy for maids to bang on doors instead of checking with the front desk if someone is staying past 11am. Like us or another Diamond member with late checkout! Even that second night with a DND on the door we received a knock on the door because they thought the room might be vacant! Total incompetence when it comes to the front desk and house keeping staff.
So I asked to speak with another manager in the GMs office. But after waiting a bit since he was on the phone i understood that this property had no idea of guest hospitality and just went about my day. Never heard from him, surprise!!
TV kept resetting itself. And the WiFi kept signing us out. Had to resign in multiple times per day.
Nice new property with clueless staff when it comes to why they are...

Thank u Maiya...communication is key otherwise this wouldn't have happened or maybe they didn't inspect like they said and assumed someone prior...
Read moreAfter staying two nights over a week in early May, the hotel added a $50 pet fee that was not disclosed when we made the reservation, nor was it included in the total price they gave us before we arrived. In fact, we were told there would be a $10 charge for each night that would be refunded after they inspected the rooms. When we called to let them know of the errors, they very rudely refused to correct the bill. As a result, we will NEVER again stay at ANY Home 2 Suites by Hilton. Unfortunately, this site doesn't allow me to give this hotel the 0-star rating that it deserves. I've since received a response from the "owner", expressiing concern that I was unhappy and providing me with a link, ostensibly to give them more information, so they could research the issue. Unfortunately, the response was merely for optics, since neither the link nor the customer service department were interested in solving the issue. The bottom line is the hotel charged our credit card an additional fee THE DAY AFTER the initial charge for the room, and the charge was neither disclosed nor agreed to beforehand. That's called fraud, at the very least, and more appropriately, theft. It's been reported to American Express and they are now handling it. This review is an effort to prevent this hotel from taking advantage of...
