After a 13 hour drive, we pulled in. - First impression was not that good, but we just wanted to hit the sack. - Get the room key from the front desk and hopped back in the truck. - Driving around the right side of the hotel, it was dark and there was not a single car. - Driving around back to the left side looking for our room, two cars and I noticed a room, pitch black, with the door wide open at the end; open all the way to the wall. It was 37 degrees out and lightly raining. - Of course it had to be our room… I back the truck in to ease uloading, and soon as I open the door, there is a lady, Mr. Deeds style, right there. - She informs me that “we front park here”. - Whatever, no big deal. - My wife goes inside to inquire about the door. - I go inside. It’s 37 degrees in the room, furniture is damp, condensation on surfaces, etc. A/C & heat unit off obviously. - Wife comes back, housekeeping must of left the door open earlier. - At that point no offer for a different room. - Whatever, turn the heat on and start unloading. No trash bag in the can. - No big deal. - Here comes the final straw. - Pull back the sheets to find a pubic hair about a foot from the pillow. Pull back the sheets more; stains and debris (no clue what it was, but it looked like food crumbs). - Then we saw a chewed off finger nail with chipped, maroon nail polish. - No other way but to assume the bed was simply made after the last guest(s) without turnover. - We are done at this point and start calling other hotels in the area. - Start loading up the truck in the cold and rain while my wife demands a refund. - This is where the offer is given for a new room. - Not a snowballs chance!.. AVOID! Should have read the reviews and not just looked at their photos. Lesson learned. - I highly recommend the...
Read moreUpdate, 4 weeks in, still no resolution. We didn't actually get to stay.. We had to get another hotel at midnight across the street. We have been trying to get a refund for a month. We booked this hotel through a third-party site but upon arrival, there was no room for us. Spent 45 min trying to figure it out. We had been traveling all day and were in town for a funeral. The room matching the confirmation number provided had already been checked into. Other family booked this hotel after us (same last name). The man working the desk had given our room to another family member and told us to stay with them.. We were not staying with them or we would have booked a room with them in the first place. It wasn't that the room was too small (they thought that was the problem) - it wasn't available! We started the refund process with the third-party site, because they said they would give us at least a partial, now they're saying no because our "reservation was used and they billed". It was suggested to contact the hotel for a refund. Because the reservation was in the past and paid for, our refund is at the mercy of the hotel & booking site that...
Read moreDon't stay here. I made a reservation through Booking.com but the desk clerk would not honor the price. He overcharged me, kept saying, it's ok? Yes? Even when I said no, this is the price, he would not give the price in booking.coms confirmation email. Also, I heard him charge the African-Americs. woman behind me $79 for a room for her uncle coming in for a funeral. He charged her a full $10 more than the price advertised on Days Inn website for that location. This place is dirty. None of the housekeeping staff wore masks or gloves to clean. The desk clerk did not wear a mask or gloves. I'll be contacting Days Inn Corp Office if I come away from this trip with COVID-19. There is NO breakfast, despite advertising to the contrary. All in all the operators of this location overcharge, have dirty rooms with mold and 1 electrical outlet. O, that's right. 1 working outlet for cell phone, tablet, coffee maker, hair dryer and any other thing you may need an outlet for during your stay. Take a HARD PASS on this "hotel" & get a sleeping bag from walmart, you'll...
