Went out for dinner here as the kids spring break comes to an end. If you are unaware, this is in the mall, not a standalone restaurant, you will need to go to the 3rd floor next to the movie theater. Upon arrival we did have to stand outside the entrance for a little over 5 minutes before someone noticed and came to seat us. Our waiter was great she started us off with drinks and we got the whiskey glazed sampler, very good, the ribs were the star of this appetizer. For the meals I went with the 12oz New York strip med-rare, loaded mashed potatoes & coleslaw. Wife got the Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta. Oldest went with the pick 3 (ribs, chicken fingers, and shrimp). Other kiddos got Mac&cheese with fries.
Food: unfortunately my steak came out med-well to almost well done so I had to send it back. The manager was extremely helpful and got it taken care of, even brought out a new loaded mashed potatoes! My wife notes that the pasta did not have much shrimp or chicken, mainly a bunch of pasta which the Cajun sauce has a good kick to it but was a tab bit on the salty side. But still good. My son loves the pick 3 and for a 10 year old, I was surprised he almost ate the whole thing! The 3 girls loved their Mac & Cheese and the burger.
Service: besides the very slow start to the evening at the front entrance (which is why the -1 star) the waitress and manager more than made up for that with exceptional service.
Atmosphere: great atmosphere inside, had a good variety of music playing, sports and shows on the TVs have a casual sports bar kind of vibe.
Overall a great dinner as we close out this year of spring break. When in the area we would swing...
Read moreOkie dokie. I don't know how to say this, but the only redeeming moment at lunch was that the manager (presumably because she was dressed in a purple shirt) stopped by my table to ask how everything was. Spoiler alert* I lied and said everything was good. It wasn't. It was hot garbage. Actually the appetizer was cold garbage. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls tasted great, but weren't cooked to temperature. Hence my cold garbage statement. The server was too apathetic to stop and ask how our food was as she was too busy talking with her friends at the bar. But wait, there's more. Someone brought out our food with no sign of silverware for miles. After a few minutes, our server stopped by to ask how everything was .......I informed her I was unable to determine the quality of the food as I hadn't degraded into survival mode and started ripping the carcass of my lunch apart with my bare hands. Shortly afterwards, I had silverware and began the lackluster( even for Fridays) dining experience. I got a bruschetta pasta with which they had been too lazy to actually evenly distribute the vinagrette, so there were heavy pockets of vinegar deftly hidden through out my pasta. The only true redeeming part of my meal was that there was a children's play area nearby with a train ringing its bell and the look of defeated and broken parents looking on. Gratefully, I don't have children, so my day wasn't THAT bad. Poor bastards..... but that's not Friday's fault. Just some perspective for some of...
Read moreAs I had mentioned in the previous review below.. we give a place another chance to live upto its reputation. We went recently to the same TGIF for dinner. Had a good experience as how it usually has been at TGIF! Our food was good, the beverages were great and the service was very nice! We sat outside at the high tables and chairs. The person who serviced our table was quite courteous and helpful too in suggesting beverages and a good vegetarian food option. She came and checked on us multiple times too. This was in stark contrast to our previous experience at this TGIF. It felt good.
Thank you for the welcome experience. Would recommend this place for sure 👍
This was for dinner. We watched a movie at the AMC at Tysons Corner and then headed to TGI Friday's for dinner. The person who served us eventually was quick to help us out. But.. he was informed after a long time that we were seated at his table for service. We waited looking around if someone would help us.. even get us a glass of water let alone take our order or get us any cutlery. We informed and asked the person who sat us down about the delay. We were that they will look for someone to help us! And we waited.. We love trying out new restaurants and different cuisines, and usually give a restaurant and the people associated with it a benefit of doubt always.. but this was a not-too-great experience. We hope TGIF becomes better since we have had great experiences with it and at...
