Decided to try this new noodle spot that's close to us. I would like to start with the food is pretty good. We both got the tenderloin pho and were pleasantly surprised how good it was. The rest of the visit was not very desirable. We originally wanted to have lunch here and showed up around 1. We get inside and all the tables are full, people are standing all over the place and a few people are in line or just standing in the way of others wanting to order. After waiting patiently we asked the person at the register if they where even taking orders because of how busy it was and if any tables were opening up and if so how long the wait might be. She kind of just looked around and said it's first come first served. We decided to leave and go to jungle Jim's next door to kill some time. We had our child with us who was expecting food so we decided to pick up lunch for her separately then try to go back to eat at the noodle place. When we entered the second time a little over an hour later there was one table open. We set our child there and ordered at one of the 3 self services kiosks. I would find it helpful as a new customer if maybe the person at the counter welcomed customers in and asked if it was their first visit or had any questions. We just had to figure everything out and several others did the same after us. While at our table waiting for our food we saw two of the soup spoons where dirty. We asked for new ones at the counter when picking our food up and the person there was a little rude about it with an eye roll at us for asking for new silverware.. After our meal we ordered at a kiosks again to get some drinks to go. The kiosk was being difficult this time around asking for our card information when it was inside the chip reader. (It wanted the full card number not the pin) The girl at the desk was no help and had to get another employee which solved it for us. Overall experience/customer service was not something that will bring us back. Might stop by again to see if it was just an off day because our meal was truly good. Definitely suggest planning on going when it's not busy or being prepared to wait. *I attached photos of the menu because there seems to be no online menu, just helpful to see what they have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a quaint and small but pretty cool little place offering a wide range of Asian dishes, primarily Pho and Ramen. They also offer Dim Sum dishes and then a variety of boba tea and appetizers.
Overall, the place is finding its footing. Itās pretty good, however some of the dishes are a little lacking. My favorite thing here is the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. They do a really good job with the broth and the noodles are slightly bouncy with a good snap when biting into them. Iād go as far as to say itās the best thing on the menu.
I tried the Pho the first time and unfortunately it was not the greatest. It was very watery and lacked a lot of the savory notes of a well made Pho broth. It was edible, but it wasnāt amazing.
The Dim Sum, the couple of options Iāve tried, were really good. I believe we had tried the shrimp dumplings as well as the Egg Bao. (I think thatās what they were called) and both were very tasty, I think the egg bao was amazing though. Make sure they make them fresh, theyāre totally not the same when theyāre cold.
The best appetizer I tried here was the Chicken Karaage. Man, that stuff is like crack! Itās so good, my favorite thing to get here next to a bowl of good ramen.
The boba tea is fantastic, itās supplied by a bigger chain in Cincinnati called Tsaocha. Tsaocha owns a Korean BBQ restaurant as well as a few bubble tea bakeries. My point with all this is the tea is the best bubble tea Iāve ever had, and there is no lack in consistency at this location, itās quite good and hits the same as usual.
I think this place does a pretty good job of hitting all sorts of different styles of Asian foods and bringing them together under one roof. I think they need some time to hone in on their craft, but I feel like with time they will find their way. I think the best thing they can do is save their Pho broth and keep reincorporating/stretching it into their new pho. This will help maintain a consistent and stronger flavor over time.
Overall, a pretty awesome place to go to scratch multiple itches. Good to have in your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered the spicy Tonkotsu ($17.95) & Fried Pork Spring Roll (3 Pieces) ($6.25) for a total of $24.20.
This was the first time trying this restaurant & this style of food. Iām a big fan of ramen, so I was excited to try it.
The food was very well packaged, and was ready on the time of pickup. The gentleman was waiting inside for me, and he seemed very polite. The atmosphere inside seemed very relaxed and chill although I just picked it up to go.
I tried the spring rolls first, they came with some sauce & 3 rolls. As said in other reviews, the rolls are very small. That being said they are very good and dense. They are full of flavor & well made. I would give them a 9 out of 10 for flavor, 7 out of 10 for value. Shouldnāt be more than $5.00 in my option.
The spicy Tonkotsu ramen was very good, comes very well packaged (which is a must for a liquid). It was a large amount of food in my opinion, with several slices of meat, an egg, and the other items that I donāt know the name of. The broth was very complex and flavorful, maybe a little too salty in my opinion but not overpowering. The spicy level was a 6.5 out of 10 for me , couldāve used a little more of a kick for me personally but itās was still very good. The meats & goodies were very good & tasty. I would give the overall flavor a 9 out of 10. I would give the value a 6.5 out of 10. $17.95 is pretty hefty for a bowl of ramen in my opinion.
Overall, I would recommend trying this restaurant. Itās a very good place to try something different & is laid back establishment. The food was very flavorful, and I will be looking forward to try more .
These are my opinions and I understand that everything in this world is getting more expensive &...
