I ordered a chimichanga with chicken via door dash pick up yesterday. I called and asked for a manger. No one called back after I left my contact info, of course. So I am leaving a review.
My chimichanga was extremely over seasoned. The two bites I took were so salty, I gagged. When I opened my box all I can smell was salt. If I were at the restaurant I would ask for it to be made over.
I called and talked to an associate and he informed me the policy was that if you order with door dash, and not a phone order with the store, then you have to contact door dash for a resolution.
I just wanted the food to be remade. Why would I contact door dash for a pick up order? I asked the associate if the food was made to order or was it prepackaged, because the associate said no one complained about the chicken.
It took me several times to ask the same question to the associate. I am not sure why he did not want to answer. If the food was made to order then, when I put my order, the cook, may have inadvertently added too much salt, which would only affect my order and no one else. Thus only I would complain and not everyone else. Once I broke that down he said the food is made to order.
I told the associate, with this logic, I should be able to get the item remade. I even told him I could bring the food back, to ensure that I was not trying to get two meals for free. I only took two bites which were both terrible.
There wasn’t anything he could do. He took my # and number and no one has reached out. Their website won’t allow you to fill out the contact form. It’s so outdated. The website also does not say you can call in to order.
I will not be returning. Very sad. I do want my money back.
Dont use door dash to order, you better call in so you can get your items remade...
Read moreUpdate: Considering the fact that Don Rigo's was closed for Easter, I decided to give this place another try (considering it'd been 3 years). The "large" salsa ($4.25) was half the size of FREE SALSA AT DON RIGO'S) and tasted sweet and canned. The queso was very thick (which isn't necessarily bad) and for the price you receive a decent amount. My husband had steak fajitas and even for his "vanilla" taste, it was bland. The chicken in my Enchilada Supremas (2 chicken 2 cheese) was much better than 3 years ago, but still lacks flavor and I was disappointed to see the same sweet salsa covering them. The 2 cheese enchiladas were the best part of the meal and the sauce covering them was tasty but there wasn't much of it. Service was great this time! Prices are high for the quantity and quality of food they're putting out imo. Rincon is definitely permanently retired from my list of restaurants 😕
Haven't been here in about 6 months and am unfortunately very disappointed. The guacamole is now just a mash up of avacado and cilantro. The salsa is now sweet. Service was nowhere near what we we were used to in the past. My usual...enchiladas supremas...2 chicken 2 cheese...was not at all what I expected. The chicken was dry and tough and quite tasteless. I understand the need for price increases and how complimentary items are now charged for but it seems as though that price hike and decrease in quantity also came with a loss of quality. Everything that made Rincon the place to be has somehow become lost. If you were looking to become just like every other run of the mill mexi-American joint then congratulations you've accomplished it. And apparently it does no good to tell the server or cashier how disappointing...
Read moreMeh pretty much sums it up, and I hate that cliche. The service was friendly, and mostly attentive. Forgot a water a couple times, but I had a pretty decent margarita to tide me over.
Their drinks are what gets them an extra star. Definitely worth it and have good happy hour prices. The chips and salsa were ok. Fresh chips, just kinda blah no heat salsa, but I liked it enough to eat them while waiting. I went with fajitas as there was really only tacos burritos and enchiladas. No really special Mexican dishes. In fact they had burgers on their menu too. Now, it's really not hard to screw up fajitas.... But they did. First off, I almost always need 5-6 fajitas, and need more tortillas. They gave me 3 small ones, and those are all I used. Hardly any meat for the price. The veggies were either under or over done. And my extras were supposed to come with guac, and it didn't. But trying my friends I wasn't missing anything. It tasted like a ground up avocado, again no seasoning. Same with the meat. It was all around just really bland and flavorless....
I doubt I'd go again unless I wanted a drink, and sat at the bar watching a game. That part of it...
