The Rock Shop — Local services in Upper Merion Township

Okay full disclosure I'm 49 years old, I live in New York City and I've been in many vinyl stores. Most of them are cramped smell musty, and it's not an awesome experience. That's where the rock shop changes the whole picture. Walking in here I felt like I was transported back to 1985. yes like power up the DeLorean we got to get back to the future. They have an incredible selection of vintage vinyl, and the good stuff not just your bargain-basement cast off music, but stuff like Bowie Zappa ACDC Abba scorpions motley Crue you name it. The entire left wall is chock-full incredible music historical music from a time now long gone. Along the right wall are cassette tapes and 45s. is I stood in the middle of the store with my wife and my son I actually became choked up by the emotion of being back in 1980s cuz this is exactly what it look like. And the prices are not that crazy given the premium location like King of Prussia. this place is definitely worth a visit even if you're driving by the area if you're into vintage...

Extremely unprofessional staff

My husband and I were shopping at The Rock Shop this afternoon and had an arm full of items we planned to buy, but we ended up putting everything down and leaving after overhearing an incredibly inappropriate conversation between the two employees. They were loudly mocking an engaged woman who had messaged one of them on Discogs about a rare album she wanted to buy as a gift for her future husband. The worker said the album wasn’t for sale, then went on to insult her for even asking, calling her names and saying she was stupid for wanting to get married and would end up divorced.

It was shocking and uncomfortable to hear employees talk that way about someone, especially so loudly in front of customers. It completely ruined the experience for us. Conversations like that should be kept private. We won’t be returning if this is the kind of behavior the...

Very awesome shop if you are into music. They have vinyl records, posters, band coasters, buttons, patches, glasses, pictures, tapestry, T-shirts and signed memorabilia. If what you are looking for is not in the store, they will find it and order if for you. Staff are kind and welcoming. I like all kinds of music and there was only 2 times they didn't have exactly what I was looking. Both times, they ordered the stuff I did want and within a week it was ready for me to pick up. My family loves all Kinds of music from The Stones, Van Halen, STP to Matchbox 20 and Twenty One Pilots and there's always something we leave the store with. Great store if you are ever in need of that certain Vinyl no one else has. This place never ceases...
