Horrible Service, Bitter Coffee, Tiny Egg McMuffins, and Unprofessional Service! Worst McDonalds experience I have ever had! After having a stressful time getting a fasting blood test at Lab Corp, I went to McDonald's for a quick and stress free breakfast with my parents. Usually I don't have a problem at this location but today changed my mind for good.
Today, this location had an issue with their ordering system and registers. The ordering kiosks were all closed, the CC system was down and they were only taking cash which was OK since we were paying with cash. When we came in the manager on duty was writing down customers orders on paper to give to the kitchen staff, taking the cash payments and correctly handing out customer orders. All seemed OK with the customers before we ordered.
When it was our turn to get waited on, the manager on duty had to go to the drive up window and another worker took our order. We had an easy order, Two Egg McMuffin Meals one with a small coffee & one with a medium OJ and a Sausage McMuffin Meal with a small coffee. Not hard at all and easy to remember but this worker couldn't confirm with us what we wanted and relay this information to the kitchen staff correctly. She didn't write anything down since she was trying to mentally remember what we got and kept getting everything wrong saying we wanted something different than what we asked for or she couldn't remember what we wanted.
After about 5 times telling her what we wanted, she seemed to get it right. However, that was not the case, they kept getting everything wrong. Three times the kitchen staff tried to give us the wrong meals, while forgetting the hash browns and our drinks. When we tried to tell them nothing was right, they said we didn't order what we did and that we didn't give them enough money which we did. Two of the workers get quite mad at my Mom that she wouldn't accept the wrong meals. They said to her just take them it's close to what you wanted just to get us out of the way since the line was backing up and people were getting upset with the holdup. She had them try one more time to get the right meals and eventually we got our meals (after they said we had the correct stuff) but when we opened the bag, everything was Sausage McMuffins Meals.
In defeat we just took the wrong stuff because we were hungry and we wanted to get out of the place. Everything was terrible! The Coffees were so bitter because they barely put in any cream and sugar and they wouldn't give us any extra creamers when we asked. The Sausage sandwiches were small and the muffins were hard and sausage was super greasy! Hash Brown were cold too! Yuck!
While we were eating I saw the same thing happening several times! Many of the customers were getting the wrong stuff and the staff was rude too!!! I understand you are all trying to get orders out without your ordering system but it's not a reason to be rude and nasty with your customers! It was all a Hot Mess! Read moreStrap in for this one. I ordered a little Mac, but received two hash browns instead and unfortunately Didn’t notice until I arrived back home. I proceeded to head back to the restaurant to get my correct order. I informed the staff of the mix up and they promptly remade my order. I thanked them and proceeded back home. Once at home I opened the sandwich to find a double cheeseburger with Mac sauce. I again traveled back to the store and informed the staff it was incorrect again. The staff remade my sandwich on the fly and asked me to inspect it before I left, this time in front of them. I did and again it was made wrong. I was shocked! 3rd time wasnt a charm. They took the sandwich back remade it again, this time The manager John brought the new sandwich back to me, i opened the sand which, again it was wrong (4th time)! John then proceeds to aggressively tell me why he made it wrong, stating they don’t use a seeded bun for the little Mac. I turned and pointed out the picture directly behind of him of the little Mac made properly, (with the seeded bun) I stated you are advertising a sandwich in this picture but then giving a cheeper version. I asked him to use a seeded bun from a Normal Big Mac or any seeded bun so I would get my sandwich as advertised. John says he can’t, but he will Make an exception. John storms off into the back and proceeds to make my sandwich for the 5th time. This time He uses his bare hands (During COVID) tossing lettuce and onions with said unwashed hands. (This now the 6th sandwich) I get the attention of Christina another manager, and she observes John using his bare hands and apologizes. Christina washes her hands gloves up and makes my sandwich the way it was supposed to be made with extreme professionalism. I thanked her, and asked for Johns name so that I could contact the owner and corporate for his unprofessionalism. Having a manager like John does no good for any businesses brand. John creates a terrible example of how to properly deal with customers when a mistake is made by a restaurant. I too work in the industry as a Manager of a restaurant, and managers like John can be a direct reason why restaurants fail. On the exact opposite of the spectrum we have Christina. Who is the type of manager that helps restaurants thrive and create a more positive experience ensuring repeat customers.
