We’ve been coming to this location for about 7 years now. I usually drive from Highland to this Valpo location. I came today and it was one of the worst experiences of my life at a restaurant. Things that can be excused the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way through, the pizza was made incorrectly, then a waiter flipped his tray that he was carrying drinks on and splashed us at the table including my 1 year old baby. The thing that is inexcusable is the managers reaction when my wife told him about the situation. He said that the chicken was cooked and that the pink was protein. I’ve eaten chicken for many years of my life I’ve even cooked chicken. Ok. So, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt maybe he’s not a cook. My wife talked about how the pizza was incorrect, he told her that they were making it correct. Ok. So, he’s sees that this is a good enough solution. This is the part that upsets me the most because with the waiter who splashed our baby he said for my wife to talk to the waiter her self. He said accidents happen. He never said sorry. He never said I apologize. When she asked if you’re argumentative with all your customers he said that he’s not being argumentative and that we’ve taken off the chicken off the bill what else do you want? He was just making lame excuses which are just a way to avoid responsibility or accountability. Regardless of what his EXCUSE may be I’ve been in management for most of my life, and this is just plain disrespectful and rude. You want my wife to do your job! I hope he is not the main manager of this location because if he is the fish stinks at the head and this is a poor representation of your location. Last but not least the cashier asked how was your meal? I told him not good and he said ok. I may not come back for a long while but because the pizza is my wife’s favorite unfortunately it’s hard to turn away from good pizza. Please at least address the situation so that this won’t happen to...
Read moreAs of right now my food is still not here. Called in made a order of fried ravioli and a small stuffed pizza with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, and onion. That is it. Its Friday and I would think maybe an hour to an hour and 20 mins tops but almost 2 hours is CRAZY. And when I called the girl on the phone couldn't explain why but the drive that should up at 852pm said maybe they lost your order. Or miss placed it and found it later. That is really sad. The manager needs to get this right. Because Tony's and this place are the best pizza in town and this has gotten out of hand with how long orders take with delivery........... Ok I couldn't leave another review but when my food finally got here (8:47pm) it was WRONG...... So when I called I told the shift manager Lance I think that's what his name was that I wanted my deep dish pizza small pizza instead of whatever they sent me a Popeye's or calzone or whatever it was after 2 hours almost of delivery and making my delivery order. I wanted a new pizza and he said he will get it here when he can also on top of he didn't even know my order and what I ordered and then when I told him I wanted my pizza for free and he can have his calzone or Popeyes pizza thing back he said so you want your right order and the pizza for FREE. I said yes you can have the stuff you sent that wasn't mine after 2 hours of waiting for delivery and I want the right pizza and he said I still would have to pay full price. This is CRAZY!!! I told him that I would be getting ahold of the store management, Regional or the owners to make sure they know about what happened tonight and he said so you have that much time on your hands to call those people and I told him yes for the others behind me that should be treated RIGHT...... I've worked in restaurants and management for restaurants and bars my hole life. This is the worse I've ever had to deal with and the sift manager was ever...
Read moreThis evening I decided to take my son out and grab some food. When we arrived we were seated right away by a very nice young lady. Our server came over and promptly took our drink order and app order. After having consumed the apps we placed our order and our Togo order.
We waited and waited for our food for what seemed to be forever. But they appeared to be busy with deliveries so that’s okay. While I placed my order I asked the female server if when ordering the keto pizza it would be cut in squares. She replied with that one is a medium so yes it’ll be cut into squares.
When our food finally arrived the pizza was cut in pie shapes not squares. A keto pizza isn’t normal crust it’s actually a big sausage patty looking crust. So when you have a veggie lovers on top of that the only suitable way to eat it is when cut into squares.
I questioned the server about it and she said the guy in the back said he can’t cut it into squares. (That’s a lousy excuse any pizza can be cut into squares. ) you can’t pick it up when cut like a pie without all the toppings falling off and possibly on to your cloths. So you ultimately have to eat it with a fork and knife. Not to mention all the water run off so logically it only makes sense to cut it into squares.
When I asked additional questions the server said “can I get you anything else sir?” Um no you can answer my question and fix the situation.
That said I asked who the manager was and was told it was Cody. Although I was displeased with the timing and the way the pizza came out and made it known this manager never made a single attempt to come speak with me. Hmmmm. Such outstanding service.
I use to like coming here specifically for the keto pizza. They’ve always cut it into squares for me in the past but now today not now for some odd reason. They just lost...
