I stopped in for an iced latte and it was just what I wanted :) No frills, a bit sweet, tastes like coffee! The woman working was very kind and even offered to bring my drink out to me. The windows are really beautiful too. Overall I had a lovely experience and hope to be back soon.

Wonderful place to enjoy the day with a great cup of tea. Or to get the perfect tea for you at home. Very friendly staff and such a nice show case to choose the most appealing tea description. And in doubt or if you are undecided they have always good advice for you.

Java House is by far our favorite coffee shop in downtown Vancouver. Their coffee is the best and the owners, Cora and Lonnie are super friendly and always remember our coffee and food preferences. I absolutely love Java House!

So first and formost I like the actual bitter taste of coffee and espresso. I usually get an espresso con pana or espresso with a tad bit of whip cream.

Sadly the coffee was rancid tasting, either because the machine is not cleaned or the beans were bad. I usually get whip cream to get rid of a lil bit of rancid flavor but this was bad. No amount of sugar or whip cream was going to change that.

I had a scone and it wasn't my favorite, not sure why just tasted kind of boring.

The lady behind the counter was so sweet though and later on as she was making her rounds saw I hadn't touched much of what I ordered, I think she asked me if everything was fine and I lied. I know usually what happens is most places want to replace it but knowing that I'd get the same thing isn't worth my time or hers.

Outside of that even though this location is open and has good natural lighting it was so loud from other people chatting. Not the best acoustics...

I stopped by and had a 12oz hazelnut latte before jumping on my bus to work. The coffee was good but I’m not sure if I’ve ever had bad coffee from a coffee shop. There was something about this place that is more than just the coffee though.

The couple who served me were extremely polite and friendly. While I was enjoying my coffee I saw them having friendly chats with what seemed to be local regulars. The woman serving seemed to even have customers’ regular orders memorized and would have them ready to go right as they came in. The place felt very inviting and charming. While I usually make my own lattes at home now I just want to go back and to become one of their local regular customers myself.

When I picture the warm and friendly atmosphere of a small coffee shop in some neighborhood of France or Italy that keeps locals coming in every day I picture a place like this one. It makes me happy to find out I live next to a...

Very bold coffee, absolutely delicious. They sell Panache coffee, which the owner said was a Portland local roaster. They have about a dozen or more coffees and teas to choose from...I was a little overwhelmed, but the owner was nice and helped me figure out the taste I was used to and we went from there. I got the Guatemalan Coastal Blend as a pour over - bold but bitter sweet chocolate taste. I can see why they've been around...
