Wonderful place with wonderful owners ! I’ve been going here for a couple years now, and it’s one of my favorite spots in Vancouver. The atmosphere of the place already sets it apart from other record shops on it’s own, with it having a really cool underground indie vibe being in the basement of another cool shop that’s kinda “hippie” too, and you can also write on the stairwell outside with chalk. But, on top of that, their music selection is always fantastic, especially with limited edition versions of things, and even rare items. They also sell record players and really awesome vintage shirts, jackets and stickers ! And it’s all very well priced.

Read moreThis is hands down one of my two favorite shops in the Portland Area and by far the best record store in Vancouver. I have been coming into Ronald for at least a few years even back at their last basement location.

They are super involved in the community which is a must for me to shop somewhere in downtown Vancouver and the they go out of their way to get things that other shops don’t have or won’t get.
If you haven’t been into Ronald….do yourself a favor and go asap.
Also…if you aren’t sure if they will be open or if you need to know if they have something they are super...

None of the cassettes from the other store worked (0/3!) so I returned them and went straight to Ronald Records with the cash they gave me to buy new ones. I told the person working there what happened (just in casual conversation) and she offered to discount my new cassettes just a hair so that they could be an even trade for the cash I’d been refunded at the other place. Top tier service, good vibes, and well-tested used products that...
