Wow, what a wonderful experience! I am not normally a fan of Japanese cuisine, but I have to admit, I was woefully enlightened by the offerings of this restaurant. First, the atmosphere was beautiful upon entry. I felt so welcomed and the homely aesthetics only added to my comfort inside. Next, the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had the Tuna Tar-Tar Nacho as a sort of way to ease into this unfamiliar cuisine, and boy was it tasty and delicious! From that first bite alone, I felt like I immersed myself into the Japanese culture— as if someone was pulling me into another world and teaching me their ways of life. Huge compliments to the chef(s) that made this meal with so much care and love, giving ‘substance’ a whole new meaning. And now for my biggest highlight of this already joyous experience: the absolutely stellar service!! There was one employee in particular who greeted me with so much enthusiasm and delight, that all my previous worries disappeared. Their smile and warm demeanor made me feel like I was not a customer, but family! There was one specific moment where said employee guided me to the water dispenser near the fountain because I did not know where to locate the water— I was awestruck! For any employees or managers that are reading this right now, take heed of this! THIS is how you treat a naive customer and make them feel safe. I would also go so far as to saying that this employee deserves higher pay, but of course, this is not my establishment or my place to make recommendations. Although I do strongly believe this. Overall, the ambience was outstanding and I would definitely come here again. Kuma’s Sushi Bowl for the...
Read moreHeard a lot about this place so decided to try it with bunch of coworkers!
First time here, tried the 'Crunch Chicken bowl' with white rice. It was good but not great!
Second time here, I tried the 'Whatta Shrimp Bowl' with black rice and understood why the name. There were about 6-7 huge shrimp on top with crab meat, potato flakes on bed of Black rice with array of amazing flavors. The portion visually looks small but really fills you up half way through.
For vegetarians, 'Tofu Bowl ' is really good option with huge chunk of lightly battered and soft tofu.
Not being fan of raw fish haven't really tried other uncooked bowls but my co - workers who tried them say they are delicious ! One of these days i would go for a Poke tuna or Poke salmon bowl.
May be its just me but Black rice does wonders in taste. Really recommend to try it with black rice plus it looks so good.
The end result was that we plan to return here. The place is clean , the staff does an excellent job assembling the bowls and the food here is...
Read more5/5 I was satisfied
2nd time coming here and each time I've had a good experience. The first time I had the deluxe Salmon bowl, which was a lot of stuff for a poke bowl for me. So the 2nd time I got a regular salmon bowl and it was just right.
In one small bowl, everything worked well. Cucumbers, avocado, seaweed salad, sprouts, and marinated salmon. It really looks plain, but it works because nothing overpowered another. There was not too much sauce or too much of any overpowering flavors. The rice was cooked very well too. After having it as take out, I felt satisfied and satiated. I wasn't overwhelmed, hungry, or anything else. I was content and it was a great feeling.
Service was great. I didn't have to wait long gor...
