The first impression was of a dirty establishment. The entryway floors and glass were very dirty. Inside wasn’t so bad. We seated ourselves and waited five minutes before getting up to get our own menu. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to take our order so my husband got up and went to the counter. The woman began taking his order as they walked back to our seats. The food was mediocre. Our miso soup cost $2.25 for broth, three small pieces of tofu and a couple pieces of seaweed. If I wanted broth, I would’ve ordered broth. The spicy tuna roll and rainbow roll were ok. Fresh and good portions. But the Alaska roll has very little anything in it, even the rice was not much. The food is good and the servers are always friendly. But there are two things that bother me about this place; one, a few times the dishes were not as clean as they could have been, and two, (which is the biggest issue for me) is the fish tank. It is the worst fish tank I have ever seen and I feel SO bad for the fish. They are too crowded in there, there is NOTHING in there but water, and it doesn’t even look good, so it is completely unnecessary. Foods great but service can be lacking sometimes it feels like. I'm also food industry so I get it can get busy but you also have the ability to pause orders. I out an order in at 7:02 for pickup at 7:32. Showed up and paid and then was told it wasn't ready yet. After waiting an extra 40 minutes. It's now 9:00 and I have no food and have to go to bed for work in the morning. I've been up since 1am to get into work in Philly with the eagles parade bullshit, I'm hungry and angry at this point.
