Battle and Brews at the Battery is exactly what you’d expect it to be. A place you can play various video games as well as some board games. The host and servers were very helpful. They aren’t very busy but we still put in a reservation over the phone. It would be nice if they got more gamer chairs. I tried the spinach-artichoke dip. It gets a 10/10. The chips are very seasoned and have a nice spice to them. I also tried the sweet potatoes waffle fries. They were okay. They came out very hard. The marshmallow dip was amazing! I kept eating them just to get more dip. lol. The drinks are sorta typical. But they have a $5 mystery shot that intrigued me. It’s very clean in there including the restrooms. I’ll definitely come back. They are located closest to the Purple garage. 2 hours free parking before you start getting charged. I saw a group of four playing games. Good sized group for this place.

The staff was incredible. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and they explained how it worked. There is a table charge (to be expected) $10/hour for table top games, $20/hour for console games. We opted for games on the Switch and had some drinks. I thought they had a good selection of drinks, including alcohol-free cocktails and they were priced well. We didn’t have good, but it smelled incredible. Two things to note- check your time when you get seated. We weren’t really sure how much time we had left as we planned to stay for only an hour and didn’t get a time-warning or tracker from them. Also the tip total is based on your table time too, so make sure to budget accordingly. I hope the tip get splits between service staff and front of house as they were the ones that set up and changed games for us. Overall it was a really fun time and I would recommend it!

Went with a work group and this was just an awesome time. They have a good selection of games for Nintendo Switch, ps5, ps4, and Xbox. The price wasn’t super crazy but we did catch it on half off night so it was cheaper than it would normally be. We had chicken wings and spinach artichoke dip and chips and salsa which were all very good. I like the spinach artichoke dip the best personally but that is subjective. I also ordered a nuka cola which is alcoholic (it was raspberry infused vodka so color of quantum) and it was sweet and sour but good. I had a few ipas as well which were good as well. It also was trivia night and I had an absolute blast playing trivia and it really helped our work team bond so it was just and awesome time. If we didn’t have to work the next day I would have stayed until they kicked us out so that’s saying a lot.

I am a nerd/geek, so Battle & Brew is exactly up my alley!

From the myriad of memorabilia and gaming options, both video and old-fashion tabletop, this place is overwhelming in the absolute best of ways. I felt so at home and, in many ways, really jealous of all the decor. For the sake of the Doctor! You enter the Tardis to go to the bathrooms; Allons-y!

Okay, okay; let's get back on track! In addition to the video and board games; Battle & Brew holds all kinds of fun events to make each of your visits unique. For example, when I went the other day, they were holding a House of the Dragon/Game of Thrones trivia night (*which, if you'll indulge a little bragging, I did really well at and made my night even more satisfying).

Then there's the food. First off, the names of the dishes are very punny, so even before getting my food, I was already delighted. Then the food itself; so delicious! For example, the first time I went; I got myself a Philly with potato fries and it came with this churro dip that made the meal even more jam-packed with flavor!

And last, but certainly not least; the service was top-tier. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses are so incredibly polite, helpful, and nerdy themselves, which made them so marvelous to chat with in between taking orders. I have to especially highlight Amber; whatever she's getting paid, her manager needs to pay her even more. She was so kind and attentive; thanks in big part to her, I left my first visit as a very satisfied customer.

So if you're a lover of sci-fi, fantasy, and gaming who wants some good drinks & delicious food, you HAVE to come to...

Absolutely terrible experience. I’ve never felt so scammed.

My husband, son, and I stopped in and asked the host how it worked. He simply said, “You eat and play the games,” with no mention of any additional charges. He seated us at a table with two gaming screens.

We ordered chicken tenders, a beer, and a burger with water. The food was subpar—especially the tenders, which were clearly cooked in old, burnt oil.

When the check came, it was $85. We were told there’s a $40/hour charge just to play the games at that table. We were never informed of this upfront. Only after expressing frustration did the server mention other tables: one that’s $20/hour and a central one that’s free.

The manager came over with the host, who admitted fault and said, “That’s on me. I’ll Cash App you the money or let you play for free next time.” That’s not how business should be handled—basic transparency is not optional.

Even as we were leaving, I saw another couple being seated in the same way—no mention of the extra charges. I warned them, and they were just as shocked.

This place relies on deception and lack of communication to squeeze money out of people. I don’t recommend it to anyone. Total lack...

Worst experience at the Battery. This was our first time at Battle and Brew. I purchased a Groupon as a gift to my boyfriend who loves to game. We arrived and as soon as the words Groupon left my lips we were told it would be a 1 hour and 45 minute wait. The place was fairly empty so I was confused. I asked what the wait would be without the Groupon and was told the same time. The host asked if we had a reservation and I said no the only reservation options I could find on the website were for dining only. Then we were told we could get seated right away just in the dining area. We decided to just eat since it was cold and rainy outside. We sat next to a four top that was set up with four dual player stations. Those stations remained empty for the entire hour while we waited for our food and ate. There were many people around us that were being told the same and also noticed the many empty game stations around the establishment. I counted at least 12 empty stations that probably could have accommodated all the families in the dining area. I will not be returning. I recommend Punch Bowl over this business if you actually want to have a...
