I've passed this Yard House location several times over the years, but had never actually made my way in here. This Yard House is located at the corner of Commerce St. and Independence Blvd. That area generally has a good amount of traffic. There is a parking garage nearby and can go through The Westin Hotel to get out, or park closer to the elevator near Commerce St. My first visit here was on January 2, 2018. The place was recommended by my brother and his wife to come here during their happy hour for appetizers. They also gave us a gift card to the place, so that helped further the reason to check the place out. Once you come inside, one thing you'll notice right away is that the place is pretty dark, with not a lot of lighting as you might see in other restaurants. We were immediately greeted when we came in and were seated immediately as well. Within a minute or so of being seated, our server Brandi was at the table. She was great to work with and quick as well. The first order of business was the drink order. I had gotten a sweet tea this time and my mom got a ginger ale. The drinks came back quickly and then asked if we were ready. Since my brother said to come for the appetizers at happy hour, that's exactly what we did. We ordered the Onion Ring Tower, Spinach Cheese Dip, Queso Dip, and two orders of the Blue Crab Cakes. At the time of ordering, I notified our server about my allergy to mushrooms. A few minutes later, the manager Chris came to the table to check on us and let me know that they checked all the items we ordered had no mushrooms in it and they would avoid cross-contamination, which they did well with. About 10 minutes or so after ordering, the appetizers came out to the table. The first thing I tried was the Onion Ring Tower. Those were great, as they weren't hard to chew and were cooked just right. The next thing I tried was the Spinach Cheese Dip. This appetizer was amazing. It tasted great with just spinach and cheese (first time I've had one in a while that didn't have artichokes). The next thing I ventured to were the Blue Crab Cakes. They were also amazing. They were cooked perfectly and they didn't contain fillers that you could find at other places. The last thing we had gotten that I tried was the Queso. The Queso was great as well. They gave you a soft bread and chips to use with it. After that, I went back and forth enjoying each of the appetizers. As we got full and started slowing down, the manager came back to our table to check on how everything was. Everything was actually very good and said we could ask for him to check on us when we come back again. Shortly after, our server came back and asked me which dessert I wanted from my birthday. I chose the Crème Brûlée. The dessert was very good and they even had happy birthday on the plate (my birthday was in December, but the coupon was good until January 2nd). The Crème Brûlée also included bananas, which was a nice touch. Overall, this was a great experience and will definitely come back again. I look forward to that next visit. However, I might just stick to water for a drink since the non-alcoholic drink prices are a bit higher than other places. If you're looking for a nice place to have lunch, happy hour, or dinner in the Town Center area, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Our evening at the Yard House wasn't quite what we had expected. My wife and I are guests at The Westin. We're in town from Richmond VA for our daughters field hockey tournament. We had both been awake since about 3 a.m. After quite a long day all we wanted to do is sit down for a pleasant meal. Our daughter had already eaten so we had the rare opportunity to enjoy an adult only meal. The restaurant was busy this evening. Nearly an hour wait. We were lucky enough to get seats at the bar. We were promptly greeted. I asked the bartender for a beer recommendation. She delivered an imperial IPA. Good choice! We ordered our meals. I ordered the pork burger with fries and she ordered the salmon. As you can see from the pictures, the salmon looked ( and tasted) wonderful. The pork burger was excellent. Sadly, I didn't receive my fries. We both asked for them and still didn't get them. I finished my burger and my wife finished her entire meal. Still no fries! The gentleman next to us also didn't receive his fries. We were ready to go so I asked to speak to the manager. He came fairly quickly. I explained what had happened. He picked up our check and said he was going to take care of it. He also told the gentleman next to us that he would take care of them. Upon returning, he handed the gentleman next to me comp coupons and said he's buying their next meal as they had already paid. He simply comp'd my burger. Having been in the business for years I was frankly surprised. I expected better or at least the same as the gentleman next to us received. Alyssa, the bartender was the shining spot. Nobody else even checked on us or followed up. Didn't even ask if I wanted another beer. A very lost opportunity. Not really sure how I feel about recommending Yard House. Honestly, Id have thought we could have expected better.

Let me start off with saying that our waitress, Lateric, was super awesome!!! My son wanted to go here to celebrate his 16th birthday and she did a wonderful job. So thank you Lateric! We were greeted by a smiley and friendly hostess as soon as we walked in. The place was pretty busy for a Thursday night and there was a wait for tables but a few high top tables available so we sat there. Lateric then came an introduced herself as our waitress and asked if we had been there before. I told her I had but that my kids hadn't and that we were celebrating my son birthday. She welcomed them and wished him a happy birthday. And informed him he'd be getting a dessert on the house. We placed our drink orders and then ordered the chicken nachos as an appetizer and our entrees when she came back with the drinks. There's a lot going on in the restaurant that made the wait for food not seem long. There are a bunch of tvs in the restaurant and 80's music playing. The nachos came out and they looked so good and tasted even better. We devoured those and then our burgers came out. We ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger, and whiskey with aged cheddar burger. All were AMAZING! The sauce on my whiskey cheddar burger was finger licking good. At some point during our appetizer, I accidentally knocked over my beer while Lateric was checking up on our table. She immediately brought some bar towels over and started wiping it up. I apologized and thanked her and finished cleaning up my mess. A few minutes later, I had a fresh beer next to me that I didn't even notice was brought to me. And then Lateric brought my son dessert. It was a nice touch and looked so good! My son was one happy birthday boy. So to sum up the place. The food was great but there service was amazing!

The servers attitude were very very condescending, ill and downright seemingly racist towards me. Because of my casual attire and hair. I walked in and there were five Servers who were standing there, I said goodnight, but they all ignored me while chatting amongst themselves for about 4-5 minutes, I said again, goodnight, and one finally said with a very pompous attitude , “may I help you?”. I said I know what I want and she said, here’s a menu. I said again, I know what I want. She then took my order, which was take out, (cost 37$). I handed her two 20$ bills and she asked me if I want my change. I said why would you ask that off the bat instead of letting me willingly give my tip. Which I had fully intended to do of course. A customer behind, overheard and said “why would you ask the man if he wants his change?” and laughed. I gave my name for the pick up and was told 20 minutes. She then left. I then sat in the waiting area. About 15-20 min later from my arrival, I eyed some bags that came out. (About 6) They called all the other names but left that one bag on the wheel cart. I looked at them look at the tag and went about their business. About 30 min later, I approached the counter and asked again for my order. That server looked at the tag and went away. Never saw her again. Servers came back out to the front and buzzed about the register area. Then 45 minutes later, a server was on the phone by the register with two other servers. I approached one and asked again for my order. There was a server on the phone who rolled her eyes and pointed with her finger out to the other server whom I just asked and rolled her eyes Yup. It was that SAME bag that was just sitting there that came out with other orders awhile back. She gave it to me and said “here!” and walked off. It was really awkward then and It really felt all these white servers were very racist and condescending towards me and I felt humiliated, cause, like I said, I wasn’t dressed up all pretty and I wasn’t like the majority of customers and servers. White. Will not be supporting this establishment again due to the treatment by its employees. Hire more diverse or just put up a sign. ,...

I went to Yard House I used to be a regular now. I’ll probably never go back. I walked in the hostess was very nice and asked for a booth. She said us in a very nice booth by the window and there. I waited for 30 minutes with my baby for someone to come serve us I eventually just use the ZO to order drinks and appetizers And no one came for about an hour and a half to take our order so I ended up ordering to go off the app which took about 40 minutes to be ready which is expected to go and then that time three wait walked past my table 1 bought me my Ziosk appetizers. Another bought me a drink from the bar , eventually when to go was ready, I walked up to the hostess stand and told her no one has come to help us my baby is screaming crying in the restaurant now while I’m sitting here waiting the table behind me is seated with a waitresses friend and she’s telling her about how she got into it with another waitress and honestly I just knew that that was supposed to be my server finally when I went up to Go get the food the hostess was shocked that no one had come to check on me the entire time I was there, and when I took the food back to the table, she alerted the waitress that I was her and the waitress assumed someone had taken me because I had gotten my drink from the bar however this is the same waitress that had bought me one of my appetizers and I don’t know how Yard House works but normally when I’m serving and someone steals a table in my section I like to know who but also she sat out there long enough, telling the story of how she got into it with another server to know that no one had come and checked on me at all the manager came over. He was apologetic and gave me $13 off my meal. However, I don’t feel like that was an adequate remedy for the situation. He even walked around and was checking on tables however he did not come to my table once the entire time I was waiting I couldn’t order kids meal food off the Zouk so my daughter was having a fit. I’m also six months pregnant. My pregnancy craving was not letting me leave till I got the Nashville hot is hands-down the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my...
