Alright, let's talk about Tequeria e Antojitos El Chido! If you're looking for a spot that hits the spot with authentic and seriously tasty Mexican food, this place is a winner. First off, the elote is a must-try. That creamy, tangy, chili-dusted corn on the cob is just perfection. It's the kind of thing you could easily order seconds of (and maybe we did!). Then there are the tacos, which are simply good. They're not trying to be overly fancy, just solid, flavorful tacos that deliver on taste. Whether you go for classic carne asada or something else, you're in for a treat. Speaking of carne asada, their torta version is also noteworthy. That satisfying combination of grilled steak, beans, cheese, and all the fixings nestled in a crusty roll is just pure comfort food. And let's not forget the birria. The rich, savory broth and tender, flavorful meat are definitely a highlight. It's the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out. To wash it all down, the guava Jarritos is always a fantastic choice. That sweet and slightly tart soda is the perfect complement to the savory food. Overall, Tequeria e Antojitos El Chido offers delicious and satisfying Mexican fare. From the standout elote and tasty tacos to the satisfying asada torta and flavorful birria, there's plenty to love. And that guava Jarritos? Just the cherry on top! If you're in the area and craving some authentic flavors, definitely give this place a visit.

I has a really hard time on how I was going to rate these guys, i was leaning 3*, but think that was do to my own hang-ups. First the food we got was very good, just didn't like how you ordered or set up of it. I read some people rave bout the service, but thats just it, you don't have a server. You walk in, they hand you a menu and you order at the cashier, pay then they hand you table stand with a number on it. You seat yourself and then wait for your food. No chips or salsa, unless you paid for some. It seems that most everything is a la carte. We ordered a beef burrito, beef huaraches, a sprite and cup of water (no iced tea), which equaled $20 even. There were no sides of rice or beans included. They do have a "salsa bar", which is included for dine in only. It has a 4 sauces and a couple of pickled veggies. I mean it's nice, but nothing mind blowing. They ask you to bus your own table. I don't know, when we stopped in my expectations were of a normal Mexican joint, with waitresses and such, so it threw me. Some of the sandwiches sound pretty cool, so I might come back to try those.

Recommended by my CoStar colleagues during a training trip from Phoenix, El Chido turned out to be one of those rare finds that make you grateful for local intel. Tucked behind a gas station, it’s the kind of hole-in-the-wall spot that might make you second-guess your Uber ride—until the food arrives. Despite being a bit of a drive from downtown, it was a quick and easy trip, and absolutely worth it. I went with a few colleagues, and every dish hit the mark. I had the burrito, my buddy went for the red enchiladas, and we were both genuinely impressed. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the authenticity undeniable. Coming from the West Coast, I’m used to a different style of Mexican food less white cheese, for starters but El Chido’s blend was a pleasant surprise. It felt like a culinary handshake between regions, and I appreciated the chance to experience that mix. If you’re in town and craving real Mexican food with no frills and all flavor, El Chido is a must. Just don’t let the location fool you behind that gas station is a kitchen that knows exactly what it’s doing.
