My family and I have always gone to Noornai as they have the best flavor (and this is coming from an Indian whose tried a lot of resturants that haven't ever tasted authentic). Noorani has the best flavor hands down, but it's changed. Had I rated this resturant a few months ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Now, not even close. They know that they have vegetarian customers as well as non-vegetarian customers and they've always done a marvelous job of making sure the food isn't contaminated. They also reiterated that they serve nothing but fresh dishes. That may have been true once upon a time, but my previous visit was a whole different story. First, I had made a large order for a family gathering. It consisted 2 paneer and 2 chicken products as half of the family is strictly vegeatrian and the other won't eat any meat beyond chicken. I came home to 1 paneer and 3 chicken. Annoying and frusturating as that was, they offered to drop off a new paneer plate however we lived quite far so they couldn't make the journey out. They told us that we could come back the next day instead and pick up a freshly made paneer plate instead. We went back, they handed us the platter, and upon coming back home we opened it believing it to be vegetarian. It had a mixture of BOTH chicken and paneer. So a single dish which is supposed to have just paneer had also chicken, but the taste wasn't even fresh. It was like...reheated leftovers. If you've had indian reheated leftovers then I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I don't know what they did but I can speculate that they combined two leftovers together to make it seem like it was a single product. They may have gotten away with it too, had they actually combined paneer with paneer instead of paneer with chicken. The taste wasn't the same as their older dishes either. I've had this for years, yet this time was so diffent in terms of texture and tanginess. Overall, it makes me concerned about how many tiems they've served leftovers. Resturants claim they don't serve leftovers, but the sad reality is that they do in order to save money. It's cost effective....
Read moreThe place is too hot, there are no working AC. I will not recommend to anyone looking to do big event there, please don’t. The owner will tell you “In sha'Allah I am working to get it fixed” but in reality she is not even trying hard and will not put enough effort to accommodate the guest. I did a party at this location on July 23rd and that day the temperature outside was over 95 degrees and her AC wasn’t working. I had multiple conversations with her prior to the event regarding getting the AC fixed since there will be close to 100 guest and there will also be bunch of kids. At the day of the event she literally had 2 fans and 2 small portable AC which is only good for Small room not for big party hall. We had reservations until 11 pm but our guest left with in an hour and half of the event as some kids started to cry due to unbearable room temperature. We had some guest left without having dinner because it was too hot and they were getting sick and one of the guest almost had heat stroke. The owner still denies that it was too hot and she kept saying “ its too many ppl thats why its hot”
She is a liar and she loves to rip off people. She ruined the party for everyone and she didn’t even apologise for the inconvenient as well as no consideration of giving us a break on the final charge.
There were others in the community who did party there this past few months who had faced the same issue but unfortunately she keeps getting away by saying “In sha'Allah I am working on getting it fixed”. People even told me not to do party at Noorani but I told them that I have done parties before at Noorani and no issues and I trusted the owner but looks like I should have listened to others in the community and done the party...
Read moreUmmm, I came there last night wth my in laws starving and ready for some delicious Halal authentic indo-pak/chinese cuisine, which I'm quite familiar with btw. The server girls were nice I guess, but one of them talked too much. The actual food took like a half an hour and wasn't worth the wait at all. Me and my husband ordered the samosa chaat as an appetizer and it's literally ONE samosa cut n half on top of some nasty cold chickpeas with raw onions and cilantro, which I couldn't even taste. I mean, understand that I wasn't aware of what was ordering in terms of the chaat, but ONE samosa?!?! Are you serious?! BTW,the samsosas taste store bought with the crispy crust instead of the delicious soft crust for the samosa heads out there. The naan is a'ight, not the best, plus it hardened too fast. I tasted everyone's food which ranged from all different parts of the menu and just about everything was straight up nasty. I noticed they obviously don't use salt in anything for one, and not to mention my dish was very bitter and like, inedible. And just about everyone's dish (all savory) were either bland, bitter, and/or sugary sweet, no actual flavor. I was so ready go home. The food was MEDIOCRE/DISGUSTING. I don't know who they had cooking the food back there but they have no skills apparently. My advice is to go get a mango lassi, which, unfortunately, was the only tasty/non-nasty thing on the table......even though it's like $4 which is hella-expensive for one yogurt drink, they're usually like $2.50 everywhere else I've been to.... And then had down to the taco-bell down the street. In all honesty, it's better than the food here....
