Marcy's Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Walla Walla

I don’t plan on coming back to this restaurant. The server was rude and made the whole experience uncomfortable!! not just for me, but for others at the table too. His attitude and service were terrible.

The worst part was how the server made me feel. I’ve never had such an awful experience. He was so rude that I felt completely unwelcome, stupid, and like I didn’t belong. He got everyone’s order except mine, and it felt intentional. When he came back with drinks for others, I politely asked if I could place my order too, and he responded rudely. He kept making comments that made me feel so awkward in front of my friends. Some of them laughed to try to lighten the tension, but I just wanted to leave.

If you have dietary restrictions or follow a specific lifestyle, don’t expect them to accommodate you. The server never brought the salad that was supposed to come with my order, and I was charged for it twice!

The food overall was disappointing. Portions were small, the steak was overcooked, and they added a sauce and fries I asked not to be added. To make matters worse, the area where we were seated was dirty.

They did have live music, which was nice at first, but it got so loud.

When I shared my experience with friends, they told me this kind of thing is an ongoing issue at this place.

My goal in posting this review is to help others avoid feeling as uncomfortable and unwelcome as I did, while also warning about poor-quality service, overpriced food, and being overcharged. If you’re looking for good food and a pleasant dining experience, I’d strongly suggest going...

On the outside this place looks quite fancy, when you're inside it very much does give the "local pub vibe" that it advertises. The food was good but pricey for what it was. The reason for the low score, our waiter. I don't remember his name but he got my order wrong and thinking I ordered something different made a very awkward and embarrassing situation (at least made me feel this way) when I tried ordering a side to go with what he thought I said I wanted. I should've double-checked the menu to clear up our miscommunication but he made me feel so stupid that I felt weird asking for the menu again to correct him and show that indeed the side I ordered could be placed with the actual thing I asked for. The mistake order I got was good but like I said, pricey for the quantity and to be frank quality. It took quite a while for our food to get to us even though there were only 5 other people there and he never came to our table to refill our water or to give us our check (though some restaurants have you go to the counter to pay-- but considering the price of food I would expect table-side service). This place COULD have been cool, I think the drinks WOULD have been enjoyable had the waitress been even slightly more polite. I had never been here, walked in to check out the neat decor in the restaurant and the bar. My 9 year old daughter was with me. I was three feet in the bar and the waitress made it apparent we were not welcome and my daughter couldn't be in there. She stood there watching me until we walked out. We choose to sit outside despite her attitude and had one round of drinks. We thought about a second round of drinks but quickly were ready to leave when the waitress called my daughter a "little angel" with so much sarcasm and said we needed to get her out of the "bar area". She had ventured over to look at the water fountain and take pictures and wasn't hurting or bothering anyone. Mind you, NOONE was over there...and it was OUTSIDE!!! The actual bar doors were closed and there was no alcohol around. There was more alcohol at our table!! We will never go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
