Bober Tea & Coffee — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

Okay ive been here about 4 times now so its safe to say my opinion wont change. Most of their drinks are insanely sweet and many dont allow sugar adjustment. The sweetness overpowers the tea flavor so it feels like im drinking sweetened milk. The strawberry drinks also have the tea issue, feels like im just drinking jam.

The boba itself is decent enough quality. Its cute on the inside.

Price is pretty expensive, usually at most i see toppings at .60 extra but here it is .80. Drink almost always has been more than 7 dollars

The matcha is actually pretty good. Not too grainy, too bitter, or too sweet. But that is the only drink i genuinely like so far. I am interested in trying the Vietnamese coffees but am not holding my breath due to my experience with most of the other drinks.

Passed by this place walking around downtown Walnut Creek and it was so cute I had to go in! Not many great boba places in Walnut Creek so I was hoping this one was good, and it was! Interior is super instaworthy with the pink telephone booth and wall decor. Love it!!!

The only way to order is online or on their kiosk. The kiosk was super laggy and even randomly shut down to reboot, which helped it work better. Next time I'm definitely ordering online to save time. Waited around 5 minutes for the drinks to get done. Got a simple jasmine milk tea which is my go to basic drink at most places. Not as creamy as other places but had good floral flavor and was a bit on the sweeter side even though I got 75% sweet. I tried some of my bf's boba and the pearls were super soft and chewy! I'm pretty picky about boba consistency and this one passed the test! I hope it stays consistent, I'll try it out next time.

Would I say it's just another boba place? Yes I would but, each one is unique in its own way. This one is definitely insta worthy. Very cute vibe, for younger crowds. This one is located in Walnut Creek near Ike's and Cheesecake Factory. Can't Miss it because it's very pink. Love that is near the parking garage as well.

I haven't been to very many boba places but this one has several choices of drinks on the menu and toppings. My go to flavor is always Taro with boba, they made that perfectly. Did I mention that you can choose the level of sweetness of your drink? What?!? That's different!

So when you walk in it's self order. It's pretty easy. Very modern with their electronic/touch device that allows you to pay with debit or credit. The only thing is there's not really any staff and customer interaction because it's self order. I give the entire experience 4 stars it's a great experience but still need a little improvement! Until...
