I can’t comment on service or atmosphere because I ordered delivery but I had to comment on the food…..

I have worked in restaurants and catering so I know how kitchens really work but this? I can’t see how this has a 4.6 rating on Uber Eats….

The chips weren’t the typical house made chips, these were like generic (Sysco) tortilla chips. The salsa was like an eh salsa that really wanted to just be tomato sauce. The queso was queso, I mean how hard is it to melt american cheese with heavy cream? But I did request extra jalapeños and was surprised that meant 4 whole slices and nothing else.

The esquites is cheap, generic corn (Sysco again I am sure) that is tough and has no real/good favor. The sauce that is there is settled and minimal, there is cheese and some visible seasoning but you can’t taste any of that.

The chicken chimi apparently comes standard with rice and beans inside(?) it. I requested the beans be left off but the “chicken chimichanga” was mostly rice and a needlessly oversized tortilla. The menu said it came with queso and a red sauce on it. There were a couple globs of cheese but definitely not like alll the other chimis I have had. The sauce looked and tasted like it wanted to be a buffalo sauce.

The tres leches cake I only tasted because I was writing this review. It tastes as processed as it looks with worse flavors on the back end.

I usually only write good reviews when they are earned and don’t write bad reviews. But this was just, I was disappointed for as highly rated as it was.

$40 wasted and nothing to eat because I won’t order more food after thinking I was splurging to treat myself, not to be disappointed.

Please note that I didn’t think ahead and these photos were taken in portrait mode, so they look better than the food actually did in person by...

Finding good authentic mexican food, then you should definitely come here it was my first time walking into the establishment. I was a bit lost, but I was pointed in the right direction, and I placed my order. The woman who took my order was nice, I came there for thing and one thing only birria tacos because I've never had any in my life and this year that was going change,so I placed my order and I got for four of the birria tacos beef and lamb waiting patiently I saw that they sold snacks, soaps, and other things Even though I said I was coming there for one thing, I had to get me a drink along with the meal that I was about to experience as soon got home, and Lo and behold I saw that had tres leches cakes something I had little taste a while back but Never got to fully experience, but thanks to Luis mexican food and grill that change, when I got home And got ready-to-eat.I had the four birria tacos with the consommé jarritos fruit punch saving the cake in the fridge for dessert, My first bite of the taco I hit without naked Deliciously crispy flavorful. I didn't even have to use the lime until I realized it was there, but it was delicious on its own, dipping it into the consommé Took it to a whole another level a flavorful broth really enhanced the tacos and I got decent cheese pull which I was very happy to see,so sad to see it go away as wad trying to eat slowly to make it last just a bit more longer, but ofc so things have to end,but On to dessert. tres leches, a 3 milk cake Soft, decadent and creamy, just so delicious that it might be a while before I make it on my own food was Awesome needless to say I will be back hats off to all the employees for delicious food and catchy...

What a huge mistake. Based on reviews, it should have been 5*. Um, no. We walked in, and it was a dark, dingy looking MX market with some items on shelving. Then we see tables to the left... just tables. There was evidence that food had been served by the dirty dishes piled up on a cabinet. There was a lit up plastic menu with pictures hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the building. Then there were fresh vegetables for sale, like they came from a store and laid out for sale. There was a guy behind a register, but he never said a word. Nothing. There was another guy, but I didn't think he worked there. I think he was making sure I wasn't stealing. I'm not sure. I think it was the same guy behind the register. It was dark, even though the lights were on. There were more tables to the right, but not sure why. There was food in containers behind glass... it was the strangest experience ever. I went to my husband and told him I was getting out of there....

After moving here from Southern Cali, I've been extremely disappointed with a lot of the Mexican restaurants in town. However, I keep coming back to Luis' because they have "Carne Asada fries" (Luis' Steak Fries is what it's called on their menu). It's a hit or miss with these fries though. I'm not sure if they have different chefs or if each chef has their own recipe or something. Everytime I get this item, it's literally always different. For instance, it could be really saucy, or it could actually have guacamole, or the best one fake quacamole where they just give me avocado slices instead of actual quacamole. This is really the reason why I didnt give them a full 5 stars but a 4 stars instead. I also ordered their Birria Tacos, & I have to say that these tacos changed my impression on them. The Birria Tacos are amazing & haven't disappointed me yet. If its your first time trying out Mexican food, I suggest you give Luis Mexican Food & Grill a try.
