Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Warsaw

After a long day of driving, I checked into a local hotel for the night. Super hungry and to the point, I had little patience for much else other than a shower and sleep. I thought I would try Ruby Tuesday's, since I've never been there, and when I entered, there was no host at the podium and a lady hollered that she would be "right there!". That was fine with me. In the meantime, an employee came from behind the salad bar and asked if I'd been helped. I told him nope. He said someone would be with me.

Well, I couldn't wait too much longer after standing there for 20 min. My hunger was turning into hangry and so I left.

I rolled into the Applebee's. If the designers of these parking lots could make more room, we'd all appreciate it a lot. I have an F250 and getting it around was tough and other drivers in cars were also cramped for space.

The host came right over, seated me and told me the server would be right over. And she was! Asked for a drink order and when she returned with that, took my food order. The salad was a bit large, but it was very very good. The steak (6oz) took a bit longer than it should have and it was a bit tough. Could the buyers of the steak, buy better and local please? I didn't care for the extra gristle I. The meat and lost a few bites because of it. Potatoes were perfect. Overall a good meal with very good service.

The only other thing I could say that needed changing, is that the entire restaurant was like a deep freeze. Why so cold? Even the servers were wearing sweatshirts. It affected the food experience in that it got cold very quickly. I'd like it to stay hot for as long as possible.

You still satisfied the hangry.and I'm able to sleep better...

I consider myself to be a very patient person, but our service was ridiculous tonight. It was packed when we went (on a Friday around 7pm). I expected it to be busy, but it was also very dirty. It seems like they are trying to streamline their service by having servers take your order and get drinks, then runners who bring the food out when it's all ready. However, our kids didn't get their drinks until they were done with their meal, after we reminded the server. I had to get napkins and silverware from the serving stand because we couldn't find our server and the table didn't have any when we sat down. We had to ask for spoons for our kids' applesauce, and 3 different times, we were interrupted by people bringing food that wasn't ours, to our table. It seems like no one knows their role or even simple service technique. I worked there as a teenager and I honestly felt like I should get up and help, pick up the food off the floor and roll silverware while we waited for our food. Not exactly my idea of a nice meal out. Everyone seemed stressed out and balls were being dropped in every court.

However, I will thank them for partnering with our local library summer reading program (which was the reason we went) and providing free meals to kids who complete their summer reading. Even with the free meal, I'm not sure we'll be going back...

My family had the WORST Restaurant experience ever, at this establishment. We went for the All you can Eat special of Ribs/Shrimp/Wings. Our hostess argued about needing a highchair right away, insisting we used a booster seat for our 1 yr old. After talking with the waitress, we received the highchair. Our order was taken. The 3 adults at the table all ordered the All you can Eat, my son got a kids meal. After about 35 minutes of waiting our waitress comes to let us know, she "forgot" to place our order. She seemed sincere and apologetic. It was annoying but we understood. We asked if we could go ahead and add a refill on our All you can Eat order.. that way when the food came out, shortly after we would get another serving and not bother the waitress and not have to wait longer. The waitress said it was no issue! Another 35 minutes went by and food comes to our table. It was the refill of our All you can Eats, WE HAD YET TO RECIEVE... at this point it has been 1 hour & 15 mins since we sat down.. my son is a hangry mess, my husband is beyond annoyed. We leave. Terrible, terrible experience all around. 10/10 will...
