Unbelievably Rude Manager & Humiliating Experience – Avoid This Place!
My spouse and I endured one of the most dehumanizing customer service experiences of our lives here, all because we dared to ask for 5 seconds of basic assistance. Here’s what happened:
The Incident: No Paper Menus: The only menu is on rotating boards behind the cashier. While I was mid-reading the leftmost board, a staff member abruptly flipped it to the salad side as I was ordering. Hostile Refusal to Help: When I politely asked the cashier (later revealed to be the manager) to rotate it back, she snapped: “Don’t you remember what you read? Tell me what you want.” No empathy, no problem-solving—just contempt. Public Humiliation: After I explained I hadn’t memorized the menu, she bypassed me in line, called customers behind us to her register, and took 2-3 orders while we stood there helpless. She only returned to sneer, “Now do you know what you want?” Zero Accountability: My wife, mortified, urged us to leave. Even when she said this aloud, the manager shrugged—no apology, no remorse. Only after begging another employee did we get the board rotated… proving the breakfast items were still available.
Why This Matters: Pattern of Abuse: Later, I found dozens of reviews describing the same “rude cashier lady.” This isn’t a bad day—it’s a toxic managerial culture. Trapped by Design: They know customers in this area lack quick breakfast options. The lack of paper menus and refusal to accommodate reading the boards feels intentionally predatory. Food? Mediocre at Best. We only ate here because we were on a tight schedule. Save your money and dignity.
Final Warning: If you value being treated like a human being, avoid this restaurant. The manager takes shameless pride in belittling customers, and corporate clearly enables her. Until she’s removed or retrained, this place deserves to be shunned.
PS: When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told she is the manager. Let...
Read moreAs a frequent customer of this restaurant I am seriously considering dinning elsewhere. Although the food is delicious the customer service is terrible. First the cashier in the evening Ebonee is extremely loud, rude and arrogant. She always has an attitude as if she is doing the customer a favor , unless there is a manager present which often there is not . She often is on her cell phone or conversing with her coworkers using profanity. I can't tell you how many times I have heard how she can't stand working there . Then there is Tristan, he is just as rude as Ebonee.. Often when I don't dine there Tristan often gives me my order . He is not polite at all . The order is often missing something and this guy rolls his eyes and sucks his teeth and slams your food items in the bag . Like it's the customers fault . He too often is engages in inappropriate conversations with Ebonee .which I personally don't care to hear about . The only reason I anm giving 1 stare is because of Melveon who always has a smile and always knows my order when I stop there for breakfast. Also Mustafa who is very professional and appears he takes pride in his job . I have witness him patiently waiting for customers to finish their meals even though it was after closing before his starts cleaning up . He always inquires if I need anything . But it seems lately I always seem to visit when Ebonee and Tristan are on duty. I will not recommend anyone to this place simply because of the poor customer service. As I stated in the beginning the food is great. It appears the managers are either not managing or just want bodies . If you know what I...
Read moreThe ordering process was slow because the two cashiers were conversing and laughing while taking orders. They do not serve pancakes. I was given our order number (15) and proceeded to our table. After a while, I went to check on the two hot cocoas for my grandchildren. While doing so, a staff member called for number 43 several times once by my side. I look at the tray and it look like my order. I told him so and he replied do you have your order number. The cocoas were seating waiting for order 43. I returned to my table and lo and behold the order number was 43 and they gave me number 15. After getting our order and eating… I must admit that the food tasted quite good. I excused myself and went to the bathroom. There, I witness the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in a bathroom of a restaurant in the US. This was third world country and/or dive but nothing expected from a reputable chain restaurant in this country. Both toilets were stuff with toilet paper and feces all the way up to the toilet rim. How does this establishment management and the health department of this city allow for such unsanitary conditions boggles the mind. Which in turn begs the question, where does the male employees do their business? This restaurant should be shut down until the disgusting display I witness in the bathroom is fixed. Also, some of the staff needs training in how to address customers. The majority of employees were nice and...
