Grill Kabob is truly a gem when it comes to Afghan and Middle Eastern food. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism that sets the tone for the whole experience. The cashier is always polite, patient, and respectful — they don’t just take your order, they make sure you feel welcome. That kind of service really makes a difference and shows the team’s dedication to customer care.
The kabobs themselves are outstanding. The meat is consistently juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and it feels like the food is made with care, not rushed. The rice is fluffy and aromatic, the naan is soft and warm, and everything pairs together so well that you can’t help but finish your plate. Portion sizes are generous, so you definitely get value for your money.
What really stands out is the management of this restaurant. Everything is well-organized and clean, from the dining area to the kitchen space you can see behind the counter. It’s clear that the management sets high standards for both food quality and customer service, and the staff follow through with those expectations.
Overall, Grill Kabob isn’t just about great kabobs (though they are some of the best you’ll find) — it’s about the whole experience. Amazing food, respectful service from the cashier, and strong, professional management all come together to make this place one of the top spots to eat. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to anyone who wants delicious kabob and a...
Read moreWe had tickets to National Theatre and hadn't made dinner reservations anywhere. Of course, every place was busy, plus expensive. We walked around the block, found this, and had a really good, moderately priced dinner. I had lamb kebabs with salad and two kinds of rice. My husband had a gyro, plus some of my rice and salad. They added a small cup of very flavorful chickpeas (sort of like chana masala, but not as spicy) to both. Their baklava is really great! I splurged and got a frozen coconut/lime sorbet pop that was so good, I looked up the company in Rockville (Amano) and ordered a box each of Lime/Coconut and Mango/Passion Fruit, both dairy free. I love great dairy free frozen treats, and these are really something. Nice background music, order at the counter, nice people, and simple but enjoyable decor reflecting their heritage. Lots of other things on the menu that sounded great, like chicken curry, cooked spinach, hummus, etc. We really enjoyed this, and I would look for...
Read moreAs a kabob fanatic who has eaten at over 12 kabob restaurants in the DMV, I can confidently say that grill kabob is one of the worst Kabob restaurants in the DMV. Not only is the meat dry and not bursting with juicy flavor unlike other kabob places in the area, but the staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I asked about the ingredients in one of the dishes and was treated with contempt and disrespect. I asked if I could have a cup of water with my meal, which I spent over 50$ for two people on, and they treated me incredibly rudely and refused to provide even tap water. Besides that, the rice was cold and lacked any sort of flavor unlike other middle eastern Kabob restaurants. The bread was dry, stale, and cold, and you could tell it was store-bought and not homemade like other restaurants. Additionally, the prices were high and the portion sizes were dismal. I would highly recommend against eating here if you are craving a good kabob meal-- there are plenty of better...
