Potbelly — Restaurant in Washington

I just had the worst first experience at this potbelly location. Today was my first time trying Potbelly, I went there with two friends and we were just looking what to order and trying to figure out how to start the order. One girl (Asian features) took my order and I asked her if it was possible to split the sandwich in two, she told she could do it but didn’t do it. Then an African American girl (she wears glasses) appeared behind her and started to almost yell at me saying “toppings will be on the side, move!”… I moved and continue with the line and the same girl asked me what toppings I wanted, it took me couple of seconds to decide and she asked me again in some aggressive way about the toppings I wanted. I chose tomatoes and lettuce (I felt I was pressed to choose something). Funny thing: I didn’t get tomatoes and instead I got onions. I was so pissed and I wanted to say something but I knew it would’ve been a huge problem because of the way the employees were talking to me. My friend was sharing the sandwich with me and she’s intolerant to onions, so after that she got a bad stomach reaction. This has been the worst customer service I ever...

Last customer of the day. walked in shortly before closing, my mistake. I thought they were open until the doors were locked. Two guys behind the counter. As I walk up the young guy covered in tattoos says "Ya'll be walking in 4 minutes before closing" or something to that effect. So I ask, what's fast? He says, "sandwiches" then mumbles what sounded like "How can I help you? Makes it, then looks at his watch and places the sandwich on the counter. Exactly 7pm. I say thank you. He just looks at me. Sorry for ruining your day bro, maybe just lock the doors if youre done making sandwiches instead of making comments. This was our first time ever eating at a Potbelly's Sandwich Shop. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even though nearly everyone in the joint could probably see that we were "first timers" all the employees were very nice and accommodating and helped us through the process. They never got angry at us nor short with us. The food was amazing. We told ourselves that we were only going to eat half of our food so that we would save some for later in the day, however, when we started eating, it was too tasty to put down!
