Hi this is Linda Kuhn and I had placed an order for your sweet breads, cookies and sandwiches. I had never eaten or purchased anything from your establishment before and as your email stated it was a bit confusing( my fault) but I have to say I was disappointed and upset. I had asked if you had gift baskets and you said you could make them up or I could purchase platters, I said platters were fine but I was expecting everything to be on platters and not stuffed in brown paper bags. I had preordered and prepaid and of course you didnât know that I was taking them to my doctors office in anchorage but to wait 30 minutes for my order is kind of not acceptable even if it is lunch time. May I suggest using your other counter space with a sign that says preorders pick up here or maybe install a buzzer or a bell where the bakers are working to let them know someone is there to pick up an order or another register ( which I know is a big expense) but happy customers always return. I didnât know I had a choice of bread for the sandwiches because I never would have ordered white bread. My husband carried out the order because I am an amputee and when I saw the cookies in a paper bag I sent him in to buy more platters ( another 15 minute wait) we finally left for anchorage as I had a doctors appt which I was now late for. When we were driving I just decided to hop in back and check to make sure that everything was there. Nope there were no sandwiches! it was your mom who dropped the ball.so we turned around and yet another 15 minute wait. Which ultimately led to me not being able to be seen that day because I was so late. We did leave home 2 hrs before my appt. And lastly having the sandwiches wrapped in white butcher block paper and put in brown paper bags doesnât look good,!I would have removed the paper but who carries around gloves. I was happy with the price and hope they enjoyed it. I have since read your reviews some good some bad but you seem to defend your business and give stock answers or be sarcastic and of course you love your family and try to train your staff to do the right thing but you never offer a customer a discount (10%) or a cookie to come back again. This not only makes the customer feel better but it increases your bottom line. I absolutely want nothing more than what I paid for because I too am a business owner but if you donât need repeat customers than thatâs fine. I will use your business again for future purchases and I saw you respond with âblessingsâ and I too am a Christian and my husband is a pastor.Thank you for taking the time to read this way...
Read moreThe sandwiches are good the younger costumer service reps are kind, and the bread is good as well. The manager was very rude and didn't even let me finish my order she came up to the registered and asked if I was finished and did I pay, I said no I am doing it now, when I was just about to pay. I was going to get a loaf of bread but I was so mad I didn't want one anymore more. There was only two people behind me, and they were being nice. I came back after the order and discreetly told her that she was being being rude, and after a conversation for a little while, she suggested I look at a menu before i come up and order. and she walked away from me. I like the bread and the food. But that caught me off gaurd I never had an issue...
Read moreFinally went there after hearing great things, waited 10 min to finish with customer they had, said they would not accept my gift card from House of Bread cause it was issued at the other store in Anchorage, they need to figure this out! If diff owners and not same store , they should let people know!! Purchased it in Anchorage, had NO IDEA canât use in my home town of Wasilla, would of never purchased it. A small business should honor and appreciate every customer they get in there!! Word of mouth is the fastest way news travel in Wasilla. And to waste my time driving there , waiting then getting turned away? Very frustrating and upsetting !! Iâll find somewhere else to spend my money!! So cant comment on the bread,...
