Palazzone 1960 — Restaurant in Wayne

I am beyond livid at the “cake” we received from this place after it being NOT the cake I ordered! I placed a cake order well in advance and when my son went to pick it up, at first they told him I never ordered one, after he called me to check again, they said they finally found it. So… they bring him the cake all sealed up never showing him to make sure it was the right one.and…. Besides that…they go on to tell him the box is a little bigger than it is supposed to be because they did not have the right size!!! (Seriously 😡)

We now are at the restaurant and when we open the cake… I almost passed out!!!! It was NOT the cake I had ordered! Worse than that, the cake they gave us was unfinished!!!!

Fast forward, the day after, my husband, his friends who were at the party, went to the bakery to tell them what happened and they took no credit for the mistake, never apologized or offered any kind of return on anything! Be careful…. Do not order from here again!!!

Now the owner is claiming that he has video of the cake…. Show me the video of when the cake was picked up- but never shown to the customer. Cake was boxed up and just handed over without it being checked and shown- And… I was always told that the customer is right- by not “fessing” up to it…. You are calling me a liar! Bad customer service. This is not right

In response to the owner of the store, I would like to see the footage of the video of the completed cake with the name on it. The picture is not the cake I originally ordered - Any bakery shows their customers the order before they box it up. Maybe the person who took my order/and who boxed it up without showing the people who picked it up-...

I originally called here to place an order for a cookie platter. After speaking with the associate, I decided it would be best to stop by and try it before purchasing. I am so happy I tried this place before placing an order for a party and sharing these pastries with my guests. I did not expect it to be as bad as it was. The place is easily spotted off the highway, it is a little tricky to get into but there is plenty of signage and parking to direct you. The inside is well lit and beautiful. You walk in and immediately see the gorgeous case filled with cookies. It is a bit overwhelming. I had high hopes when I came in based on the atmosphere and variety/ availability of cookies. The service is not friendly. Based on service alone, I would not return. I felt like I was the one working… and this woman was aware that I had called a day before regarding a party order and wanted to come try. She was no help. I did not know what to try so I ordered the tricolor cookie and the bombolini with custard. So, the tricolor cookie was a mess. It was dry … very dry. I have had so many tricolor cookies from everywhere and this one is one of the worst. It is a massive disappointment. The bombolini had such a heavy dough and it was heavily dusted with powdered sugar. It looked beautiful… but the taste did not match. The cream was an average custard, absolutely nothing over the top, very basic. It was not bad, but it was also on the heavier side and the combination of the heavy custard with the extremely heavy dough, it was another disappointment. Overall, based on service, the cookie, and the donut. I can not recommend Palazzone...

We visit Palazzone 1960 occasionally once in every few months and like it here each time we visit. Couple of times we came with our friends and they liked the place as well. There is a good selection of coffees to choose from and there is vast selection of desserts to loose onself. We have tried different varierties of coffees here, Verona, Mokaccino, Milano and Firenze and think of this place when we feel like drinking speciality coffees. This time we simply got cappuccino and hot chocolate to go and they also tasted great. We try and taste different desserts each time though lobster tail is a repetition as hubby likes it. The dessert sizes are usually mini which I like and yet they are somewhat filling. One of the times we also got assorted cookies and they were all very good, addictive actually. The service here is very cordial. The other day while we were at here, there was a kid next to us who saw a cookie and was asking her mom, meanwhile one of the staff, wonder if he is the owner, gave the kid the cookie to sample and the kid was very happy. Its always nice to witness cordial staff. Hope they continue to keep up the good spirit even in the future. Also, the gentleman who prepared our cappuccino and hot chocolate did so with patience despite the store being crowded and did a very good job. We truly enjoy...
