Solid four stars reflect dimsum menu. It has been a while, so I tried their Mongolian beef and mala pork again… but I was not wowed. Mongolian beef is still VERY onion heavy, and not the dark brown dish with green onions anymore. IT’s still tasty, but definitely feels more Americanized than authentic. Mala pork lunch special is not the real authentic Mala dish. Not for me. I asked for hot. But wasn’t. But we had American friends with us and they loved the dish, more than the Mongolian beef. So up to your palate! Dimsum Pork and shrimp and chive dumplings were yummy! Looked very home made. Turnip cake with xo sauce is still delicious. Hacao is ok, but not fantastic. Eggplant is delicious. It felt a little less stuffed in this visit, but taste was still on spot. Owner lady (I think she’s the owner) was nice and friendly. Previous review:========================================== I've previously really loved this little joint for their excellent dimsum menu. I didn't have any dimsum items this time so this updated review only reflects my take out experience. Hopefully, their dimsum remains as good as I remember it. I had no issues with the people working here. Everyone was nice, though not the most friendly staff I've met. I placed the order online and got my food in expected amount of time. Food price was fair and the amount of food they packed in for me was great. I was just under wowed by the taste. Mongolian Beef This used to be our absolutely favorite Mongolian beef in town. Some years ago, the dish changed, though, and it has remained the same. I had hoped it was a fluke and it would return to its original delicious self, but it hasn't. it's still very onion heavy and no more char-grilled flavor from before. *cry* Szechuan Ma La Beef First time trying this mala dish - MALA is a Chinese spice that is very distinctly peppery and spicy. This dish was not it. It felt like the usual garlic sauce beef. I'm not sure whether they skimped out on the mala or if they mistook my order. Either way, I was hoping for a more authentic fare and received something more toned down. Considering that the dishes were so under-authentic, I'm not too keen on returning for dimsum.

Store front Asian Fusion restaurant offers sit down and take out for any age. I believe this is a chain restaurant because of its hugh menu. For example there are 4 variations of pot sticks because different areas Ihave a different look, taste, cooking method and taste. I have ordered from there five times but the location and parking can be tricky. Oklahoma is busy so know the location: nestled next to an Asian market and other strip mall shops. At one visit, there was a predicted snow storm for a second time so I wanted to stock up on healthy ready-made, reheatable food. I made a great choice. I ordered mixed vegetables, chicken chop suey and tofu vegetable soup as seen in the pictures, The large portions were a good price. And I am a fan of their whole baby corn and whole pea pods. The food was tastey, remember I am not a fan of bland Chinese food but this place is one of two places I will go to in a pinch because the Asian variety is so big. For example, they offer 3 soups more than the usual egg drop, hot and sour and vegetable soups other restaurants offer. Being a strip mall store restaurant leaves the atmosphere cold so it's not a good place for leisure eating or long visits. Before careful and ask questions. If you don't want white stcky rice brown rice is an extra $1 while fried rice is an extra $3. Personally, the extra cost wasn't worth it. Overall, a great take out Asian Infusion (I have no idea what that means) restaurant.

I was feeling under the weather and still had to go to work today. So I looked up Congee, ordered online and made a beeline for JJ Chen's Eatery before going to the restaurant I work at.

Let’s kick things off with the egg rolls—oh, sweet crunchy heaven! They are perfectly crispy on the outside, with a filling that is loaded with flavor. Each bite is a delightful crunch, and the dipping sauces come with mustard and sweet sour.

Now, let’s talk about the congee. This dish is the ultimate comfort food, and JJ Chen’s serves it up exactly right that makes it irresistible. Silky smooth and packed with customizable toppings, it’s like a warm hug in a bowl. Whether you want to keep it classic or go adventurous with flavors, this congee has got your back (and your belly)!

And don’t even get me started on the potstickers! These little bundles of joy are the definition of perfection. Crispy on the bottom and tender on the top, they are bursting with flavor. Pair them with the dipping soy sauce and a dash of chili oil, and you will wish you ordered 2 more orders

Located on the outside of Milwaukee off of Oklahoma Ave and 108th street, JJ Chen's Eatery boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a child’s homework scattered and activities, it’s definitely a homey feel. The friendly staff adds to the charm, ensuring you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

In a nutshell, if you’re in Milwaukee and craving some seriously delicious Asian cuisine, JJ Chen's Eatery is an absolute must-visit. The Togo was smooth and ready very quick. I will most...

When I first started going to JJ Chen's I was in love with the little restaurant. Took the kids there every other weekend and had lunch and dinner there often. my favorite was the dim sum menu. But then they hired this Chinese lady as a waitress. I don't know what I did but I started to feel some tension between me and her for what reason I will never know. She just didn't like me I suppose. I would have been fine if she didn't like me but hair and silver remains of pot scrubbers started showing up in my soup and stirfry dishes. I thought it may have been a coincidence but after careful thought I started to notice how my Chinese waitress spoke to other patrons and every thing seemed to be fine with everybody else's dinner. She even took reservations and prepared a table for her favorite patrons. I truly thought it was a coincidence but after careful analysis, I don't think it was coincidenxe. You see there were other times when the food just didn't taste right. The dim sum was sometimes sour like it was over due or sometimes the soup tatsed like dish soap. The soup was so bad I had to add soracha to cover up the taste and I don't like soracha. But what upset me most was how my poor kids who ate the dish soap soup. I've heard of waiters and waitresses of Chinese restaurants who do these things to feisty cutomers but I was never feisty or rude. I always tipped and was polite because I liked going there. But never again! If you go it's at your own risk. Hope that waitress likes you or your eating meat off the floor and soap...
