Skinny Vic's Diner & Coffee Stop — Restaurant in West Bend

I've been wanting to try Skinny Vic's. They're not always open when I like to get out. Google maps says they're not open late Friday, but they are. Open until 9 pm for the fish fry.

Skinny Vic's is in between Marshalls and Petco, the sign is kinda small, making the place look small. I was very surprised the place was very spacious, lots of room! Looks like a 1950's dinner inside.

They serve alcohol, beer, wine, spritzer and even champagne! So many other fresh refreshing drinks to choose from. I had Peach Mango Lemonade, a sweet alternative to a a screwdriver.

I looked at the appetizers, I couldn't decide what to choose, so I got three I really wanted to try.

Deep fried Oreos Bacon wrapped cheese Candied bacon

Deep fried Oreos, double stuffed Oreos dipped in pancake mix and deep fried, were a yummy gooey chocolate treat! 4 pieces.

Bacon-wrapped cheese, bacon and cheese yummy. 8 pieces.

Candied bacon, covered in brown sugar and topped with chopped pecans, very yummy sweet treat. 6 big slices.

I also had a big salad, so I could get my veggies. I had BTLA, mixed greens with diced tomatoes, avocado slices, crispy fried chicken pieces, topped with lots of bacon pieces. Very fresh veggies and greens. Tender and crispy fried chicken. Came in a huge heavy bowl.

I had a lot of food on my table. I reserved some of everything to bring home for later.

Vicky came out from the kitchen to meet customers. That was cool! Workers seemed to very happy to work there.

Very comfortable, seating and atmosphere. Very clean. Looks like lots of yummy food and drinks to choose from. Might come back.

I wish I would've taken a photo of my meal. The menu said: Chicken Wraps: caprese -fresh mix of basil, mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic in a sundried tomato wrap. So Im expecting my wrap to be: chicken, basil, mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic. My order comes & its loaded with raw onions & lettuce. I hadn't bothered to tell the waitress that I was allergic to onions - bcs this meal shouldn't have onions based on the description. When she can by to check on us I explained this all to her & she didn't apologize, she just said - thats how it comes, do you want to order something different then? (I mean - no, I really wanted what I actually ordered) so she gets me a menu & I settle for french toast. My biggest frustration was there was no apology for the mix up & the meal wasn't offered to be made as the description lists it. To top things off, they weren't packed at all & it took quite awhile to get my french toast. My son finished his entire meal, while taking a good 10min break in between sandwich halves & I still didn't have my "replacement meal". Very disappointed in how this was handled. The menu should be accurate of what's in the dish, I shouldn't have been made to feel stupid about the ingredients being wrong. & I APOLOGIZED profusely for not stating I was allergic to onions & explained it was due to it not being listed in the description. 🫤 still - the only respone was "that's...

Very friendly staff. Super cute spot!!

They do let you know right away that they are short staffed and that there can be a bit of a wait. The honesty was appreciated, so we knew to anticipate a longer wait for service & food.

Came in on a weekday morning. Moderately busy. Two guests in our party. Same food order. The only difference was egg type. One order was correct, the other not. - Not sure what happened there... My order was missing one of the two eggs, the hashbrowns were missing the recommended additons to them, and the wrong kind of toast came out. The incorrect order was acknowledged, and missing items were brought out individually, as they were prepared. I declined to have the hashbrowns remade due to time.

The server was apologetic for the errors. The upcharge for the additons was removed from the bill, and I was given a cup of coffee to go. 🙂

I'm not giving a negative review, I do recommend checking Skinny Vic's out. I feel that it is important to share the experience so future patrons know what to expect.

This place has good food and great service. Due to staffing challenges, I think some kinks need to be worked out and in time... When staffing improves, this place will be...
