Definitely one of the best places in the Cincinnati suburbs to have a great meal. Expect crowd on a weekend with some waiting involved if you are going in peak hours. Once we finished our lunch, we realized why.
Food: They have a great menu with many vegetarian options as well. Beverages, surprisingly, had Lassi, which is a traditional Punjabi drink (a state in Northern India). We went for the Veg Combo which included Hummus, Tabouli, Baba Ghanouj, Falafel and Dawali. Every single item on the plate was amazing. The crispness of the falafel outer layer was particularly brilliant. In addition, we ordered Jasmine Favorite Lebanese Salata which was great. Although I felt the proportion of rice towards the vegetables and beans could have been more in favor of rice, it tasted great otherwise. In beverages, we went for Mango Lassi and Guava Lassi. I would prefer Mango over Guava Lassi. Most important thing about the food, I felt was that it all tasted and felt absolutely fresh - which is a big thumbs up.
Ambiance: The restaurant has great ambiance. Although a little congested, it was very colorful and bright with a lot of natural light coming in. So, it doesn't feel that cramped.
Service: This is perhaps the best experience I have had in terms of service. The staff is enthusiastic as we (and everyone) were greeted by an energetic welcome by the gentleman taking care of wait list. The lady attending us as very helpful and gave some very useful suggestions among the vegetarian options and even guided on the portions - the right one for two people. One difference I also found was that the lady asked us whether we would like everything at once or one after the other - something very thoughtful and never experience by us elsewhere.
Overall, it's a great place for a fantastic Mediterranean meal. Must visit if you are...
Read moreFood was amazing and respect to the staff in working under a shortage of hands! The only complaint I have is very specific. I attempted to order the grilled cheese pita with the side of fruit on a separate plate to prevent it from touching one another (my usual at the hyde park location), and the server reacted with confusion and progressively more annoyance. I was told it was a kid’s meal and was reserved for children. I’m aware of where it was listed, but I have ordered the dish multiple times at other locations without issues. I have several food allergies on top of an eating disorder (ARFID) so I admit I got anxious very quickly. I was intent on not eating at all at that point, embarrassed. However, my partner explained that he understood that, but found it odd we had never been barred from it before, and that we would be happy to pay more for food that I would actually eat if the issue was it being priced for children. After a beat of silence the server awkwardly chuckled and said an okay and moved on to his order. The grilled cheese pita came out great, but not on a separate plate. I picked around the places where the fruit had touched because my neuroticism knows no bounds. Combined with how uncomfortable it was to order I felt like a we were somewhat of a burden on the server. It feels bad because I did love what we got but the experience getting it was just so strange. I doubt anyone will have a similar experience to...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting Aladdin's Eatery, and we went for my birthday. It's a little weird to find (GPS took us around the back), but once we got there we were happy. Nice parking lot, beautiful exterior, and beautiful interior as well! The waiting area shares space with the entry, but it wasn't a problem because we were seated so quickly. Literally every employee we spoke to (3+) was super friendly. The whole menu is extremely welcoming to those with diet restrictions, and everything is marked (vegan, gluten-free, nut allergen, vegetarian). Prices are decent, especially considering you can try multiple things and get smalls (about $5 each) to make a little meal. Both my husband and I did this. The food was delicious, and considering the $5 price tag I expected the wrapped pita to be smaller than it was. The cauliflower pita was my favorite--and as an extreme olive lover, I appreciated the olive garnishes on everything. My husband loved the falafel and said he could've eaten two more orders. As a side note, I visited the restroom here and it was clean and surprisingly pretty and well-decorated. Aladdin's also has a nice selection of desserts, some of which are vegan/gluten-free. We loved Aladdin's Eatery and will...
