Matcha Cita is the kind of place you walk into once and immediately want to come back to. I first came here out of curiosity, not really knowing much about matcha, and left completely in love with it. The space is bright and beautiful, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit and enjoy your drink slowly. Over time Iâve tried quite a few things on the menu. The rose latte won me over right away, light, floral, and just the right amount of sweet. The Purple Haze is another favorite, a calming mix of lavender, ube, CBD, matcha, and oat milk that feels as good as it tastes. The matcha horchata is pure comfort, with cinnamon, rice, and vanilla almond milk blending perfectly with the matcha. On days I want something more refreshing, the Bluetiful made with blueberry, spirulina, collagen, matcha, and vanilla almond milkâis a great choice. Their food is just as good as their drinks. The spinach and cheese croissant is warm, flaky, and so satisfying, while the strawberry croissant is sweet and fresh. Iâve also enjoyed their smoothie bowls, especially the acai bowl with berries and apple juice, and the pitaya bowl with strawberry, banana, and vanilla almond milk. If youâre in the mood for something savory, the bruschetta toast with avocado, cream cheese, tomato, and feta on multigrain bread is a winner. Everything Iâve tried here has been delicious and made with care. Matcha Cita didnât just make me enjoy matcha, it made me...
Read moreWhat just happened.. I can not believe it. I came in 15 minutes before closing time and the lady behind the bar said that we have to be quik because the shop was closing. Ok, fine no worry. I ordered just a simple HOT matcha latte, nothing els. First she throwed her cloth over the bar and seemed very angry, for what reason? We did not know. It seemed she did not know how to make it either. She gave a almost cold latte with clumps of matcha and the whole cup was full of matcha on the side... i tasted it and it was so horrible! I gave it back to her and asked if the wanted to make it hot. She did made a new one, the same drink but she warmed it in the same milksteamercup... (what?) She let it boil almost and the milk was burned, this is how i saw it.. so she gave it back to me and now the cup was even more full of matcha, even worse. Her hands were green from the matcha so did my cup.. i said, i am sorry but i want my money back, i dont want another drink from you because this is not how you supposed to treat you customers and by giving this to me.. i said i felt sorry for her how she was so stressed and angry on us.. we were nothing but kind customers that just wanted a simple matcha latte.
I hope she has...
Read moreMy sister and I went there on 8/21 and ordered two horchata lattes, 16 oz. And paid a total $17.52 including a tip. We donât live in the area so when we drive into the city, we go here. We get on the highway and taste the drinks and they have a spoiled taste like the milk they used went bad. I tried calling the store multiple times and no one answered. So I keep the drinks in my car to return in the next day for a refund, making a special trip into the city to do so. I get to the store yesterday on 8/22 and the employee calls the owner and her husband, and the both say they cannot talk to me and to email them to arrange for a refund. The email they gave me is fake. It was highly unprofessional that they refused to speak to me and left a new employee by herself to take care of the situation. I will NEVER get a drink at this place again, and I have spread the word to my family and friends who visit by my recommendation, mind you. Also, had they come to the phone, I would have gladly accepted store credit to use the next time I drive into the city. What happened yesterday made me just want a refund and never return.
**the email contained photos of the drinks and a screenshot of the charge to my...
