Hurley Tap is a new name for a great location, they remodeled the front exterior for the better in my opinion. I like the huge window that brings the night light in and projects the great atmosphere to folks driving and walking by. I've been here twice under the new Hurley banner and I'm impressed on the difference Hurley makes, last place was more of a shot & beer joint with some ok food which is good if that's what you wanted. These guys have kicked it up a notch starting with the drink menu , nice cocktails and some the bar's own creations. My only opinion on the drinks is offer some classics like Martinis , Sangrias with your twists on them. Some on there now are good creations , but a bit strong or hard to drink. Besides that , drinks are unique and compliment your "AWESOME" food menu. I completely forgot that I was at a bar , typically you get a burnt puck for a burger and nothing really has flavor. Hurley has knock it out with the burger , cooked as good as it gets with great flavor and typically I don't eat a whole burger because of it's lack of any flavor and it's paper thin and the bun is stale with no fresh toppings. The steak with chimichurri sauce was outstanding and the steak cook great not tough and flavor bursts in your mouth. The fries you actually want to eat rather them being a waste. They have some desserts too, I know desserts in a bar right ? They offer a Root Beer Float I'm trying next month, but they have some Churros that take 8-10 minutes that come in a small beer mug with chocolate sauce on the side. The ONLY tip with these are they cooked ours a couple minutes longer than needed which made them a bit hard. The chocolate sauce soften them a bit , but if they offered whipped cream with the sauce on the side Holy Cow ! Warm Churros , Hot Chocolate Sauce & whipped cream would be a slap in the mouth of sweet delight. I will be stopping at Hurley's Tap as many times as I can every month because it's that good. The servers are really nice and really care about your experience, the tall blonde bartender , sorry I'm blanking on her name, but she has been awesome every time and was relatable and making sure our experience each time was special. My rating of 4 for atmosphere is for not seeing any games or juke box , I could have missed them or they haven't put them up yet. Recap: Awesome Service , Food , Cocktails & vibe , everyone should stop in for a bite and good drink. See ya...
Read moreFood- 4 stars. Had a tortilla soup that was special, delicious, and clearly made with heart and a strong recipe. Unfortunately, it came with unwanted, unmentioned cheese garnish. Service- 5 stars. Good service, good timing, friendly, communicated the special of the day and greeted me immediately. Atmosphere- 3 stars. For an “after-work beer and bite,” or “catching the game with friends,” this place should deliver pretty well. I was caught off guard in that the news audio was playing, pretty loudly, instead of music or game audio. Sure, elections are going on and people care a lot about that, but it’s hardly what I want to eat and drink to at after work.
Had one beer and took an app to go. I think I would’ve stayed for more food/another drink if the news audio weren’t playing. I might give it one more shot to try their other food if I’m in...
Read moreWe moved in around the corner in June and Hurley quickly became a staple. I was raised on 90s country music and that’s the vibe, I immediately fell in love. The food is great, the vibe is great, I’m happy this is our watering hole.
Football season has brought some struggles. Last week servers were overwhelmed, it was tough to see our server chatting and doing shots with a group two tables down from us when someone at our table hadn’t been acknowledged in 30 mins. Today we ordered a quesadilla and I pulled a chicken bone out of my mouth. We joked that this means it’s super fresh.
I love Hurley Tap but I have some notes: Remove all chicken bones. Cut your quesadillas into 4 slices rather than 2 because they’re huge. STOP putting shredded lettuce under your guacamole, it’s...
