I frequently visit this location and I am sad to say that I was very disappointed this time. From start to finish the service was horrible. Not the usual hospitable service I expect when I visit Lucille's. Four of us arrived around 745, and I went to put our name in, at which point was a 25 min wait. I told the host we would be outside, since the inside waiting area was full. About 10 minutes later, I noticed the inside waiting room was now empty, so I went inside to see if we may have missed my name being called. Sure enough, that was the case. I went to get my party, and the host sat us at a table next to a larger group. The waiter took a minute getting to us, which was fine, and he went take our drink and appetizer order, which we placed right away. The appetizer came out before our iced tea did. After he brought the iced tea, we placed our dinner order, and I ordered a salad and my hubby a cup of soup, in addition to our entrees. Over 20 minutes went by before our soup and salad came out. I said nothing. I noticed a table adjacent to us that was already eating, and I got pretty annoyed that this party arrived after we did, and was in fact in the waiting area when we sat. Entrees came out some time later, with the server not even bothering to see if we needed anything before he walked away from our table. He simply dropped the food and left. I had the Smoky Chicken Pasta, which I have not had before. Food was bland and lacked all flavor except for the smoke in the chicken. Not once did the server check back, despite the fact that he was checking on all surrounding tables. He came back when we were finished, and I was already over my food so I asked him to take the plate. Read moreWe had an unpleasant dinner because of the service our waiter "Adbriel" provided on 3/23/2022. We asked for the "AUNT MARI'S CHICKEN SUPPER" for our two-year-old toddler and requested that the chicken breast have no bbq sauce on it. We asked for french fries as our side. When the plate first came out and a runner brought it - it had the sauce on the chicken. We told him we requested it specifically with no sauce. He took it back. It took almost twenty minutes for it to be brought back. This time they brought it without the sauce on the chicken, but with paprika or cayenne pepper seasoning on the fries. Our son almost choked on the one fry he bit (there was poor lighting so we did not notice before giving it to him). At any rate, I told our waiter that we did not want the plate anymore, it was wrong the first time, took a long time to get it right, and they still did not get it right by putting hot seasoning on the fries. What kind of toddler would eat something as spicy as that!
The waiter was very condescending and said he had no control. Refused to take it back. He also added that the kids' fries are that way (with cayenne, spicy seasoning) and that they do not have standard, salted french fries for the kids' menu (I am completely dumbfounded by this remark and do not believe him). At any rate, he refused to take it off our order. He did not offer any accountability whatsoever (for the sauce part at least). In addition, when he brought my bill he waited by the table for me to give him my card. I was so appalled that I stared at him and said, "yes?" Read moreI just tried for an hour trying to order from Lucille's website and from to other delivery services with no success and then when I finally got on their website then I ordered pick it up for tomorrow at 11 in the morning because no delivery was optional and then when I punched out to purchase it told me to pick it up tonight at 7:30 p.m. today and when I called they responded very disrespectfully if i inputted the correct time with sarcasm. people that work at Lucille's at West Covina told me they couldn't hear me don't understand me sometimes and they kept repeating that there's no longer taking orders for tomorrow. I tried explaining my situation to the manager that I did put the correct time for pick up for tomorrow and I even tried delivery from your website and she kept repeating like a chicken and we don't have delivery for tomorrow didn't even want to hear my complaints as a matter of fact.
Update: went inside to pick up my order we were told to wait in line. 20 minuted in the lobby we are elbow to elbow with people so much for covid protocol. Then the manager and the front reception are jaw jacking and warming up their hands on a heater. Meanwhile there is only one person at the register taking orders and doing pick ups. Soon after another associate comes into the Lobby with more orders and starts calling names. totally bipassing the people in line.
