I went in to cancel my membership in 2014 and I was told that if I froze my account, I would only be charged $5.50 per month and could use that towards my membership fee when I unfroze it. Well, after reinstating my account nearly 2 years later and being told my membership fee would be covered for 2 months because I have $83 in credit I was charged $42.44 to my bank account so I went to the salon to solve the charge and they told me the money I have in my account can only be used in the store for lotions, etc... I told the lady I was told I could use it to pay for my membership fee and that was the only reason for me to freeze my account in the first place and when I activated my account again (paying $17.11) they literally told me it was possible and I had 2 paid months. The lady told me she was sorry but there was nothing she could do, so I told her I wanted to cancel my account with them and get a full refund for all the charges I got. She wrote a note for the manager Zach and he called me the next day and told me there was nothing he could do and he needed to talk with the regional manager to get me a refund. He never called me again so I went to the salon after 6 days and he told me the regional manager didn't have an answer yet and he would call me the next day. He never called me so I called him 3 days later and he told me they couldn't refund my money...I paid $140 total for no service at all. This is a total scam . I am going to open a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and fight the charges with my bank account. Btw they did not give me any paperwork and even when I cancelled my account last week I asked for a copy of the cancellation and Zach the manager told me they didn't print anymore and he would send me the cancellation via email. I never got an...
Read moreI cancelled my service in person at the Hollywood location several months ago. Soon after the location closed and there was no longer any one there or any services to be provided. However I am still being charged monthly. While I have filed a dispute with my credit card company I would caution anyone to do business with this company. This is clearly unprofessional and unethical business practice. And I am not the type to write reviews, this was just so egregious I wanted to let any potential victims be warned ahead of time. There are also many other tanning salons with better facilities that do not require a monthly subscription. Avoid them at all costs. Update, shortly after I wrote this review I got a call from manager at a different facility that had apparently acquired PBT. He was very apologetic and told me he had been getting angry calls all day. He agreed to remove my last charge and offered me a free month at the next closest location to me. Shortly after that I heard back from my credit card company who told me that there was no proof of cancellation and re charged my card. Again, for a location that I had cancelled at and then had gone out of business so there was no way to use the membership regardless. Services like this should be charged by the session not monthly. That should have been my first red flag. Horrible customer service and probably criminal in...
