I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food at this little bistro. It doesn't appear like much but the food and service was excellent. I work in the hospitality industry and I've been all over the world to mom and pops and fine dining restaurants. First, the portions are very large and for Palm Beach, that's extraordinary in and of itself. Second, the food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the hummus plate as an appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of veggies it came with. Then, our meals were just as grand. I ordered the blackened fish sandwich with a salad. And although it is difficult to get it cooked just right, it wasn't too well done and I ate all of the fish (except too much bread.) Salad was fresh, tomatoes could have been a better quality brand. The bun they used could have been a better quality as well, but that was my only complaint. All in all for the value, very well worth it for a hotel and for being in Palm...
Read moreAtmosphere is nice in the main dining area but if you don't have a reservation they stick you off to the side seating area and you get a little forgotten, which you know I can take some of the blame for not making a reservation for Easter Sunday. The staff was nice and courteous but the Easter brunch itself was incredibly lackluster, the eggs Benedict had undercooked eggs and a very thick, tough to eat "English muffin" underneath. The bacon was pretty much gone 30mins into brunch but the chicken sausage was surprisingly good. I'm sure the egg and waffle station was probably delicious since that was made fresh but there was a line everytime we tried to get something and only one person making both the eggs and the waffles. Overall this meal was not worth the $121 that we paid (they add a service charge to the check that is equivalent to about 20%). Save yourself the time and money. This received 2 stars only because...
Read moreI went for the Thanksgiving buffet. The first thing I noticed was that tablecloth specs of something on it which I brushed off myself, the second thing was that the fork was dirty. Not wanting to make an issue of either, I grabbed another set up off another table. My soft drink was served without a straw, which I got from the bar as the service was not attentive at all (20% gratuity added to the bill so I guess they felt no need) The turkey nd sushi was phenomenal but the soda tasted funny (as if the machine had not been cleaned), the pumpkin pie tasted like it had a whole bag of cinnamon added to it and the stuffing was soggy and horrible. Kids were running around screaming uncontrollably. They also advertised King Crab legs and prime rib which was not served and another reviewer complained of the same issue two years ago. For $140 meal between two people, I won’t be returning. Ever. Two stars for the...
