DONT GO HERE! TRUST ME! On Saturday (4.27) I went and got a beer with a friend. Somehow, the waitress dropped my card in a crack between the register counter and the wall. The GM of the restaurant kept referring to the incident as a “freak accident” - which it was not, it was incompetence. They told me that they would contact the owner about getting the cabinet removed and would call me later with an update. NO CALL WAS MADE TO ME THAT NIGHT. I myself, had to contact the restaurant to ask for an update, which is extremely unprofessional considering the circumstances. No one from the night before had passed on the info, so the morning staff was completely oblivious to the situation at hand. They had to literally track down the GM from the night before, to ask her to call me and let me know what the heck was going on. Finally the GM contacts me to tell me that the owner had concluded that it would cost too much money to remove the cabinet so I needed to contact my bank and get a new card. I said “Okay I get it but 3 things. One - it’s rude that i had to track you down instead of you having the courtesy to contact me first and tell me. Second - I was charged for the drinks and that needs to be removed right away. Third - Is there anything you can guys can do to compensate me for the trouble I had to endure?” PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - all banks were closed at this time so there was no way for me to get a temporary card tell THE NEXT DAY. So expecting a gift card or a meal compensation, I didn't really think that was much. She responded with “The refund for the drinks are the ONLY compensation that we can offer you. It may say pending but it will go back.” I would never want a business to spend hundreds of dollars for an item that can be replaced. BUT I DAMN SURE expect a business should out in extra work to compensate for the inconvenience they caused AND for my time wasted - cause THAT CAN NOT be replaced. Burgers and Brew however tried to kill my daughter who has a long list of allergies and our waitress was extremely thorough, even asked the kitchen staff what was in her food, and wrote "Highly Allergic" at the top of our ticket, and "Allergic" all around her order, plus listed the items she is allergic too. She was urgently rushed to the hospital after being served a plate full of meat marinated in soy sauce, on the list, verified by the kitchen staff that it was not in the meat until she began to swell up like the marshmallow man across the table from me. I rushed her to the hospital, but not before the request to pay the bill. They said the manager said they could remove the Philly cheese steak, but I still had to pay for my order, which I had only gotten a couple bites into myself. Basically, if you have any food allergies, don't eat there, or you might die. Since then the management has been extremely rude, hateful and uncooperative about me speaking to anyone but the management, I spoke with the waitress because she was freaking out, let her know that she was amazing and I did not blame her, but her extremely under-qualified kitchen staff that should know what is in the food they serve. Read moreWorst service I’ve ever had today (8/12/18) at Burgers and Brew West Sacramento. The last time we went to Burgers and Brew West Sac for brunch, my friends bacon was old and over cooked and he was served moldy fruit. I should have known from that experience not to return. But since I live in West Sac, decided to give it another try today. We get to the restaurant and the hostess says 10-15 min wait. Not a problem for us. It was not busy but she mentions they’re short staffed. We were fine with that. We wait 25 mins and she takes us to a table. We wait another 10 mins and no one comes to give us water, take drink orders or take our food order. People coming in after us are being seated and served drinks immediately. My husband gets up and tells the hostess that we aren’t being served, to which she says? “Oh no one has served you? Sorry”. He sits back down and still no one comes to our table. Tables that came in after us are now ordering food, and we haven’t even been served water yet. I get a buser’s attention and ask for water. He brings us water right away. Still no waiter. We wait another 10 mins (a total of 45 mins now without being acknowledged) and decide to walk out.
