Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in West Valley City

Haha I'm being told to describe my experience and I frankly don't even know if I have words for how terrible it was. It took the girl at least two minutes to ask what I wanted to order. I went through the drive thru and after a while I moved my car forward and back because I figured maybe I hadn't triggered the sensor so they were unaware that I was there. (I have personally worked fast food and understand that this sometimes may be the case). Still no response. Finally, I said hello? Which at last lead to my order finally being taken. I ordered a mini peanut butter cup sundae which then I was told would be $3.98 at the window. Wait what?!? The sign outside said that a mini sundae was $2.99 so unless tax is now $0.99 the order taker had messed up. But instead of once again try to recapture her attention I pulled forward so I could tell them at the window that something was wrong. More than 5 minutes later at the window and I still hadn't been even greeted! Although an employee had walked passed the window three separate times. The store was empty and I was the only one in the drive thru! I would've understood if they were packed or if my order was large but that wasn't the case. Finally I drove away and when I looked back still no one had gone to the window. When I called the manager acted like he didn't even know what was going on. I am so displeased and will not be returning.

By the way, don't let the companies response fool you because I filled out what they asked me to on their website and they have never...

The food is wonderful- if you can get your order right, or get it at all. The first time my daughter and I got custard sundaes- only. Yumm-o! She went with her grandparents and no problems. We came here today for a light dinner and yes, more custard!

We ordered our sundaes at the same time- just on hold. First thing, our burger was wrong. We asked for no mustard and pickles on the side. We get with mustard and pickles on the side. We send it back. Get new burger with no pickles and they left off onions. No mustard this time- but no onions.

After eating, my daughter went up to the counter to ask for our sundaes. The girl looked confused. She showed the girl our receipt and pointed to our order on the wall. The girl mumbled something like, Ok, I'll tell her about your order and disappeared. Literally disappeared. We patiently waited, and waited. There were the cooks in the back, and a young woman working the drive thru, and front counter both. This other girl is no where to be seen. After 10+ minutes of us looking around, getting angry, my daughter takes the receipt up again, and asked the young woman at the drive thru to please get our order- that the 1st girl disappeared and did nothing. After apologizing, she made them super quick. The sundaes were amazing. Their custard is delish! If it weren't for the scrumptious food, I may never go back. Maybe just the drive thru. They need to retrain or replace their employees if they cannot do or understand their jobs. I...

I've enjoyed Freddy's in previous Trips to SLC. This time I went back in for an evening bite.

I tried to order online. Their system kept saying my corporate card was denied online but worked when I was in the store. who knows...?

in the past, I've enjoyed their chili cheese dogs. Yum. Except, tonight the dog had a hard strip down it. I couldn't cut through it with the plastic utensils at all. the chili and roll were pretty good. I like the chocolate shakes with a shot of peanut butter sauce, tonight it seemed to taste more synthetic.

The cheese curds were dark, cold and they forgot the include marinara sauce.

I did notice the burger trays at tables, they did look awesome and I will definitely have to try one. They state that they have steakburgers, not hamburgers. I'll keep you posted.

Overall, sorry I stopped by. It really brought down my past experiences and this review.

The price was a little higher than I remember, but what isn't today.

it did seem a little confusing to go to 2 counters 3 feet apart to get my order but i can live with that.

I would definitely give them a try, though their service and food can be a little hit and miss, it's still worth a shot.

overall the food and service is generally good, but not consistent.

I have yet to deal with the personnel about my order from last night. I will amend to add the feedback from that interaction if it is anything less...
