Wendy's — Restaurant in West Virginia

Where to begin!!! We stood at the counter as the workers were talking and moving about the food service area. One person , who later turned out to be the manager looked at us twice and never said a word. One of the young male workers hustled off toward the back saying that he didn’t want to do the front because he was bad at it. He finally came from the back of the prep area and again stated that he didn’t want to do the front. My wife finally called out to see if any one was willing to take our order. The one woman looked at us funny like what do you want. At that point I asked to speak to the manager and she indicated that she was. It was obvious that the workers were more concerned about the drive through orders (maybe that was why one of the outer doors was locked). The manager than blatantly lied and said that someone would be with us shortly - never was said loud enough for anyone else to hear. Worse service we have ever experienced with a group of young entitled people who want to be paid for doing as little as possible. When I first saw the woman who turned out to be the manager she was slowly walking from the back of the prep area carrying a carton of what looked like a fruit juice as if it weighed a ton. Came to Wendy's on Albert Pike Rd. In Hot Springs, AR on Saturday May 4th and was not pleased. I ordered the baconator fries as my full meal, my children got burgers, fries and lemonade. The kids enjoyed the burgers and lemonade which is the only reason why I rated this Wendy's with 3 stars. I get my baconator fries thinking I'm gonna get fresh crunchy fries with lots of gooey cheese and bacon. That was not the case as you can see in the photo, they chopped one slice of bacon up and threw it in the middle of the fries with what looks like a squirt of cheese then cold shredded cheese on top (that won't stay on a French fry) I asked the cashier if she minded tossing the fries in the microwave for me and she looked super confused and stated "she had a microwave but it probably would not work for that" I literally could not keep from letting my mouth drop open, I then told her I guess I will have to attempt to eat fries with cold shredded cheese. I will not be going back to this location for a while, some people really should not work in a customer service environment...

Had to write a review. Today I got a number 1 with a diet coke. The fries were on point!! Burger was put together well and diet coke had that nice fizzy bite to it. Customer service was quick and polite. I will have to be honest, this is a polar opposite experience from what hubby and I are used to. Over the years we have driven through this location and have had very disappointing experiences. We typically try to give the benefit of the doubt and circle back around later on in the future but every time staff was unkind, food was mushed together, fries were cold and old tastings and the wait in line was not worth it. However, something must have changed! I was in a rush to get to work and needed a quick lunch. As I drove off I tried the fries and was like oh snap!
