I ordered over the phone sunday evening. I've never eaten there so i was skeptical. The place we like closes sunday. When i arrived i had to park somewhat far away but still within walking distance. Mind you it was late (after 7p) so since i parked far away i assumed no cars would park that far and i kinda parked sloppy LOL.
I walk into the restaurant it was PACKED. I can tell ppl had been waiting a bit bc there were no wait staff on sight and at least 5 tables still had ppl holding their menus and some ppl had an agitated look. My food wasn't quite ready but by the time i paid my wait was not long after that. What i belive to be the owners (man/women - couple at the register) WERE friendly and had a smile. But you can tell they were very busy as well as the cooks. When i got my food. STILL no wait staff on site. Same ppl still holding their menus had no drinks or nothing. So i do believe previous reviews about the long wait.
When i got home we each got our pasta's. The lasagna's looked ok BUT it was good. The chicken alfredo (grilled) had an off putting image so my son was like no. so i tried it for him. It was good. He tasted it and liked it (he's picky). My other son is super picky too and he really liked the lasagna. The bread was AMAZING! The salad (italian dressing) was really good. The price was excellent (fair). The food portions were really good as we got full.
Overall i give it a 4.5 but since it's not possible i gave it a 5. I wish it had more options on sides as i really wanted a spinach roll. But overall it was excellent. I suggest order to go as my wait was not bad. But dine in seemed backed up. Mind you before i walked out more ppl had came in and i was SHOCKED to see at least 4 more cars parked next to me. I was in there LESS than 10mins. Which tells me it must be good and when i got home our family and i can confirm it is. I recommend as it's good prices. Not expensive - if anything it's a great value we each...
Read moreThis is a accumulated complaint. Over the last two years I’ve noticed changes in their recipes. Changes in quality and quantity of servings. At first I reasoned it was due to hardships caused by the pandemic. It seems many restaurants suffered the same dilemma. There’s about three item’s they made that I’d order. One in particular that I loved and haven’t found anywhere else.
This dish has gone from being served with a whole split breast to a half of split breast to over pan-seared diced chicken. It was made with a creamy wine base sauce, now it is just Alfredo. It once was served with artichoke hearts and now you can not tell if there’s an artichoke in it or not.
Another item I’d order is the very simple cheese ravioli. Once the order consisted of 5 ravioli now it is 3 ravioli.
The price of the items have all gone up (still very affordable when compared to other Italian places) but the serving sizes have change and the quality of those chicken dishes have suffered due to ingredient changes and preparations.
I use to dine in regularly and referred people to this location. I also used to order and pickup from here quiet often, but after noticing the changes and being disappointed I began to limit my patronage. Attempting to see if it would return to better days. Unfortunately, for whatever reasons they made the changes, they have adopted them as the norm and cutting corners is their best practice now.
This is still a great little neighborhood restaurant. It’s comfortable, friendly, they have many dishes to offer on their menu. I would not dissuade anyone from trying this place.
Just wanted them to know that an old customer has noticed the differences and is sad that they have changed.
It has forced me to learn to...
Read moreI DO NOT understand how this place has so many good ratings... My husband and I came into this place thinking it will be fine... Sat down and ordered chicken fettuccini alfredo and shrimp/chicken fettuccini alfredo... Never in my life have I tasted such a bland alfredo sauce! It had no, NO taste to it... You look at it and think this will be delicious but as soon as its in your mouth we were like, oh no, this is NOT good... And my husbands chicken was burned... I was appalled that they even had the nerve to give him the plate! We ended up spending $50 on 2 dishes we gave away to the poor because we immediately asked for 2go boxes and left after the first couple of bites... We had to add a lot of parmesan cheese to it to get ANY kind of taste out of it but at that point we said lets just go, no one should have to add a whole bunch of cheese to an alfredo dish to have SOME taste to it... And the gnat in my salad was a perfect addition to the nightmare! My husband pointed that out after i ate half of it... Its too bad because I liked the ranch until I saw THAT! Our waitress was not attentive at all, she came and went like she was in a hurry when at the time we were the only ones there... I didnt even have the chance to ask for extra ranch (this was before we found the gnat)... We didnt ask for a manager simply bc we didnt see our waitress enough times to ask for the manager and the person we assumed was the manager (dress code/age) was too busy flapping her lips to a customer about her baby the WHOLE time we were there... I will not come back to...
