My daughter requested Dave & Buster’s for her birthday dinner and she was really excited. We met a couple of other family members there and were looking forward to a great night. When we pulled up, there were two staff members outside and immediately saw one of them spit on the ground in front of the entrance. I wanted to turn around and leave when I saw that but my daughter was excited so we went in. We purchased some game tokens while we waited for the rest of our family to get there. The games were fun and the game area was clean and not crowded. We never had to wait to play a game so that was a huge plus! I wish we would’ve stopped there and had someplace else to eat planned but when everyone arrived, we headed to the dining room.
We were all in a really good mood and excited to be out as a family after the pandemic. We went to the hostess and before I could ask for my table, a person who I assume was a server, went to the hostess station and started cursing and screaming about somebody ringing up stuff under her name or something. She dropped multiple F bombs with no apologies toward my family. I said excuse me, hello! And the hostess held up her finger and said wait a minute, So that they could continue to argue about whatever was happening. The server eventually stormed off and the hostess turned her attention to us. Again with no apology, She asked us how many and a young man was asked to seat us. He walked us over to a high top bar table that was very close to the game area and very noisy. I asked him if we could please sit at a regular table and he snatched up the utensils, audibly huffed, rolled his eyes and walked back to the hostess table. We followed him back and he told the hostess that we don’t want to sit there. She also rolled her eyes and said to me, “well we’re on rotation right now and we don’t have any other tables”. No clue what that means but I looked over her shoulder into the dining room on the right which was very quiet in comparison to where we were originally offered to sit. There were about four empty large tables in my immediate view and I said could we sit at one of those empty tables? She rolled her eyes again, looks at the young man who was asked to seat us and said just put them there! He walks over to the table, slammed the utensils down again and walked away, I yelled out thank you to no reply. We all looked at each other and decided that Dave & Buster’s doesn’t deserve any more of our money so we left and had dinner at Applebee’s. I was disappointed because we were looking forward to celebrating my daughter’s birthday and the night was ruined. It really killed the mood and if I would have know the service was so horrible here, I would have made reservations someplace else but on a Friday night, with no reservations, there weren’t many options.
I would caution anyone who’s thinking of coming here that you may want to think twice and go someplace else. Maybe just come for the games and don’t plan to eat here. I read a lot of other people’s reviews about the food and I’m glad that we didn’t eat here. It’s sad. This could be a really cool place but the staff needs a...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the experience I had while hosting a party at your location. While I have visited Dave & Buster’s before with children for entertainment, this was my first time hosting a party — and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations, especially given the cost associated. Upon arrival, I was informed that the section where my party was supposed to be held had not been cleaned or set up, as another party had just ended. The host initially asked me to wait a few minutes, which I understood, but shortly after directed me into the garage room and told me my section was to the far left of the room near the TV. While standing with my balloons and bags in hand, both the server and manager seemed confused or overwhelmed. I began setting balloons at the table where I was told the children would be seated, only to be redirected by the server, who stated that the section she was cleaning was actually the correct section per the contract. As a result, my entire party had to shift to the opposite side of the room, and still, no plates or silverware had been set up. The room was divided into three sections for separate parties, which would have been fine had the other parties remained within their designated areas. However, guests and children from the other parties continuously ran through our section, bumping into tables and disrupting guests. I had to redirect them myself as no staff appeared to be monitoring the area. It became evident that the kitchen was running behind when I had to seek out our server regarding the children’s food and the adult catering platter I had ordered. A busser eventually brought the food along with the server I ended up assisting by placing trays on the table myself around 4:30 PM. Additionally, the pub pretzels included in the platter were so hard they were inedible Mac n cheese for the kids were burnt. Our server (Amy) was missing for much of the party. Refills for the kids and any adult drink orders were neglected entirely. In fact, drink refills were finally brought out after the party had ended and we were preparing to leave. Thankfully, Assistant Manager Jimmy stepped in and was extremely helpful and attentive — he even took adult orders himself when I explained we hadn’t seen our server. Overall, this experience was disorganized, lacked proper service, and did not reflect the quality I expected based on your party hosting policies and pricing. I chose Dave & Buster’s to ensure a fun, stress-free event for both kids and adults, but the lack of coordination and service made it quite the opposite. According to your website, your “Party Planning Made Simple” policy states: “Make your party epic with just a few clicks of the mouse. We’ll bring the food, serve the drinks and even clean up afterward. All you need to do is pick your plan and invite the lucky guests.” Unfortunately, this was far from the experience we had. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I would have a hard time recommending Dave & Buster’s as a party venue based on this experience. If I had a choice I would had tipped half...
Read moreMy friends and i were here for wing night. We were disappointed to see that they removed all but 2 sauces from their all you can eat wings, hardly makes it worth it. It took 20-30 minutes to get our next rounds of wings. What should have been maybe a 45 minute dinner turned into nearly 2 full hours. Maybe if the chef wasn't walking around the bar in his PJs, our food would have come out faster. Once we were done with dinner, we had to wait another 20 minutes to have a manager reset our game cards since they weren't working. My friend got enough tickets to get a cheesecake to go. This was the worst part of the night. We are all standing up at the host desk waiting for our desert to go...and time just kept passing on. every 5 minutes we had to ask for our desert, and each time she said "let me check...just a few more minutes". At the 40 minute mark, my friend had to go back up and be very firm and said "it does not take 40 minutes to get a piece of cake, it doesn't even take 10 minutes. I want the cake right now or i need to speak to your manager." She went back and immediately brought it out, who knows how long it was actually sitting there. It must have actually been there for a while, or pulled from the back of the freezer because once we got to eat it, it was horrid and we threw it out, not worth the wait. Some of use proceeded to get stomach aches and throw up. If this was the first time here, we would never go back. I'm sure it was a bad night and we will go again but much much later. Were were all very disappointed with our...
