Ok let’s do this by points of a dining experience.
We got there and the first thing you are greeted with is a sign on the door that says “limited seating (take out highly encourage)” the limited seating part is not the problem but the second half makes it feel a little hostile. We get there and no one greeted us.
When you walk in the place is super small (not really a problem) but it is SUPER run down. Holes in the ceiling not that clean.
The entire menu is a la carte so you have to pay extra for everything. The menu is hand written not in an organized matter and not the most legible hand writing ever. This is not what I have a problem with it is more of the lack of customer service. No double checking or suggestions. My husband and I had to add things to our order after we had placed it and the guy behind the counter made a joke asking if we knew we were at a burger spot.
The food was good. Burgers were good (similar to other places in LA nothing special) fries were mehhhhh. Onion rings were good. We wanted to try the chicken sandwich but they didn’t have it available.
They stop cooking at some point in the day because I guess they need to restock and such. The problem are not the rules is how rudely they are communicated.
The place feels like they are doing you a favor by offering burgers.
I was actually recording a food review video but decided I am not going to post it because I prefer to only recommend places where I know people are going to be...
Read moreOkay so after leaving the Montebello one.. I drove over to the Whittier one. It was clear that the dude wanted to close. Online it says they close at 10:00 I got there at around 9:08 p.m... I did want to eat my burger there because these types of burgers are always better fresh. The dude made food for me but told me I had to take it to go. Totally fine. He could have told me no like the Montebello one but I'm happy he made it for me. The burger itself was actually really delicious. I needed a bit more salt but I normally put salt on everything so all good. Even the 12-minute ride home.. The burger still stayed warm and good The Patty was smashed perfectly the cheese was melted.. I'm going to get extra cheese next time. He also made sweet potato fries and some people might have thought they were a bit burnt cuz they were a little more black than you would expect. But they were crunchy and good. So props to the homie for making sure I didn't go hungry. I'll be back to that one. Never ever going back to the Montebello one. Hope you have a good weekend brother. Thank you for feeding my...
Read moreI decided to try this place because i kept seeing it pop up in my Instagram feed. First off, parking is difficult, so be aware. The restaurant itself(if you can call it that) looks like a storage room with 3 tables set up. For 2 people, we spent $44. We got 2 single cheeseburgers, 2 fries, a coke, and a shake. I've never been to a burger place where lettuce and tomatoes are extra, but okay. Pretty much everything is extra, so don't be shocked. I was also surprised to see an added "service charge," seeing as their prices seemed pretty high already. Service, if you want to call it that, for us was pretty terrible. When they brought us our drinks, the employee then pointed to the makeshift condiment bar to tell us straws were there. The burgers were good, and the fries were really tasty. It's nothing amazing to make me want to go back. If the restaurant and service matched the cost, then yeah, but for now, we're sticking...
