Best smashburger in Los Angeles? Yeah i had to try this place since couple people were raving about it. Too bad im 5 hours away on a damn island😄😄 Funny thing is I stayed about 2 blocks south from this place last time i was staying in Whittier 😄 Located in a strip mall off of Hadley Street and lucked out with a parking stall right in front. Social media blew this burger joint up but luckily I could order without a long line since their Grand Market location had a long wait and i didnt feel like waiting that long. Chefs were friendly and burgers made to order.... Dined in since I wanted the full experience of the fresh grilled burgeršŸ¤™ Burger was worth the wait...the crispy meat skirt along with the onions and pickles was awesome. Fries were also crispy and not soggy like other places. I could see how the hype is real.... 5 starsšŸ¤™šŸ¤™

Got two cheeseburgers, brussel sprouts and loaded fries $32. The sides were definitely the stars of the show. Brussel sprouts were great, lightly salted and tossed in black vinegar which was unexpectedly good combo. Loaded fries were just generic thin cut fries doused in special sauce and onions, good. Burgers were about In-n-Out sized without anything except patty, sauce and 2 pickles, a bit disappointed, as it was very unfilling for $11+/pc. Ground beef is just over the counter beef with seasoning, nothing special. Buns are soft brioche, not prepared in any special way. The inside of the restaurant is very... dingy, counter, tables, chairs, layout is old, worn and outdated. Honestly, not what I expected for being named one of the best burgers in LA, definitely not living up to the claim.

It's a whole in the wall, you walk right into the kitchen and ordering counter. That being said, it's strictly a burger joint. Nothing crazy, burgers, fry's, drinks. They specialize in smash burgers. This place is known in LA and some instagramers say it's the best in LA. I'm a say, it's personal preference. It's a good burger, Crispy edges, smashed, grilled oinions, mushrooms to i think, lots of melted cheese, I added lettuces and tomatoes to mine, on a soft bun. It's a really good smashed burger and the price isn't to crazy, I think starts at $10ish to $15. Frys are good, everything is made to order and fresh. It's really a simple joint that focuses of the food, which is simple a good burger. I'd recommend you try and decide for yourself if it's the "best burger" in LA.

Ok let’s do this by points of a dining experience.

We got there and the first thing you are greeted with is a sign on the door that says ā€œlimited seating (take out highly encourage)ā€ the limited seating part is not the problem but the second half makes it feel a little hostile. We get there and no one greeted us.

When you walk in the place is super small (not really a problem) but it is SUPER run down. Holes in the ceiling not that clean.

The entire menu is a la carte so you have to pay extra for everything. The menu is hand written not in an organized matter and not the most legible hand writing ever. This is not what I have a problem with it is more of the lack of customer service. No double checking or suggestions. My husband and I had to add things to our order after we had placed it and the guy behind the counter made a joke asking if we knew we were at a burger spot.

The food was good. Burgers were good (similar to other places in LA nothing special) fries were mehhhhh. Onion rings were good. We wanted to try the chicken sandwich but they didn’t have it available.

They stop cooking at some point in the day because I guess they need to restock and such. The problem are not the rules is how rudely they are communicated.

The place feels like they are doing you a favor by offering burgers.

I was actually recording a food review video but decided I am not going to post it because I prefer to only recommend places where I know people are going to be...

Okay so after leaving the Montebello one.. I drove over to the Whittier one. It was clear that the dude wanted to close. Online it says they close at 10:00 I got there at around 9:08 p.m... I did want to eat my burger there because these types of burgers are always better fresh. The dude made food for me but told me I had to take it to go. Totally fine. He could have told me no like the Montebello one but I'm happy he made it for me. The burger itself was actually really delicious. I needed a bit more salt but I normally put salt on everything so all good. Even the 12-minute ride home.. The burger still stayed warm and good The Patty was smashed perfectly the cheese was melted.. I'm going to get extra cheese next time. He also made sweet potato fries and some people might have thought they were a bit burnt cuz they were a little more black than you would expect. But they were crunchy and good. So props to the homie for making sure I didn't go hungry. I'll be back to that one. Never ever going back to the Montebello one. Hope you have a good weekend brother. Thank you for feeding my...

I decided to try this place because i kept seeing it pop up in my Instagram feed. First off, parking is difficult, so be aware. The restaurant itself(if you can call it that) looks like a storage room with 3 tables set up. For 2 people, we spent $44. We got 2 single cheeseburgers, 2 fries, a coke, and a shake. I've never been to a burger place where lettuce and tomatoes are extra, but okay. Pretty much everything is extra, so don't be shocked. I was also surprised to see an added "service charge," seeing as their prices seemed pretty high already. Service, if you want to call it that, for us was pretty terrible. When they brought us our drinks, the employee then pointed to the makeshift condiment bar to tell us straws were there. The burgers were good, and the fries were really tasty. It's nothing amazing to make me want to go back. If the restaurant and service matched the cost, then yeah, but for now, we're sticking...
