I've had the privilege of sampling some of the finest cuts of beef from steakhouses across the country, but the prime rib and ribeye steak at Cowboy Cookin’ stands out as a culinary masterpiece. From the moment they were presented, the steaks commanded attention. The prime rib was a stunning, deep ruby red, encased in a perfectly seared crust that crackled under the knife. The aroma was a symphony of rustic charm, sophistication – hints of seasoning, herbs and a whisper of smoky goodness. The first bite was a revelation. The beef was cooked to a flawless medium-rare. Each morsel melted in the mouth, releasing layers of flavor. The balance between the natural juiciness of the meat and the rich, buttery texture was nothing short of perfection. It was as if the steak had been slow-cooked in its own goodness, absorbing every nuance of the carefully controlled flames. What set this experience apart was Cowboy Cookin's dedication to detail. The prime rib was complemented by a side of delicate, yet robust horseradish and Au Jus. The juxtaposition of the hearty steaks, with the refined sides and hand crafted cocktails created a dining experience that was both down-to-earth and elegant. The service was impeccable, too. Sally was knowledgeable, passionate and attentive while leading a calm and confident presence in the height of the dinner rush. Although it was packed with diners, the food was delivered in a timely manner without delay. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its rustic western charm and cozy warmth, made the meal feel like a journey to a culinary wild west. In conclusion, Cowboy Cookin’ doesn’t just serve food; it crafts an experience that tantalizes the senses and leaves a lasting impression of down home country culinary excellence. A rare gem that truly deserves the recognition.

Great atmosphere, first time we came a month ago we ordered a Turkey Melt and it was the best turkey sandwich we had in a long time!! It had a special taste, and the service was awesome! TODAY we ordered the same thing and it was basically grilled bread with turkey and all you tasted was mustard! So disappointed, the people next to us commented “ sometimes you can get a good meal here) and the service wasn’t much better, there was basically no one even in the restaurant and she forgot we were there! Then she failed to even keep up with our order and someone else had to serve it to us, guess at one point she went into the kitchen to check on our order and we already had it. During this time 4 people came in and sat down, the waitress took so much time to get back to them they finally walked out March 19th @ 1:40. First time we were here April 15th @ 3:25 Maybe you can check to see if there were different cooks! Cause this one was awful. Reply: I think the server was Sally, a larger woman with dark hair, we were seated across from the bar in the end booth, by the opening to the back room. The excuse she used for forgetting us the first time was she was on the phone to the owner, second time she said she was telling stories and forgot about us. There was only one other server there and she was younger. I appreciate you getting back to me and checking into this matter.

This is the perfect comforting place to go to. I was hesitant because the kitschy western vibe is overdone in wickenberg and the restaurants are generally dirty, old, and flavorless here. This place is immaculately clean. You can feel it when you walk in, the AC works great, the tables, menus, carpet floor, and every chair is clean as a whistle and the decor is adorable. The western cowboy theme is well done here, there are old black and white westerns on the small tvs, oil lamp lighting, and paintings and decorations. The service is good. My waitress suggests the chicken fried steak, the ribeye, or the burgers. I tried a cheeseburger and Mac n cheese, it was extremely comforting and perfectly cooked. Nothing fancy or exquisitely tasteful but good, came out hot and fast, and was delightful in the atmosphere of this restaurant. I’m sure anything else on the menu would be even better but I wasn’t super hungry and more curious about this place. If you go to wickenberg and want a nice place to go to, this is the one. It’s not crowded and noisy or dirty, everyone is nice and it’s actually clean! I ordered a cake slice to go, they gave me 1/4 of a cake, it’s about the size of a child’s head it’s so big. Definitely worth the trip here, if you’re in wickenberg for a day or week this is the place to start or end the journey at.

I brought my husband to your restaurant on Sunday, 5/23, for his birthday. I knew he would enjoy the atmosphere and food. But as soon as he entered...with his service dog, who was wearing a service dog vest and had her registration visible, was told no dogs allowed. Your sign says trained service dogs are allowed. He was asked what his disability was that he needed a service dog for. Wrong question. Not allowed by law. Instantly we were under scrutiny. Patrons were watching. Another person came out and explained the gal asked the question wrong. The right question was asked and answered. But the damage was done. Permanently. My husband loved the food but will not return because of how he was approached. It was very offensive. We sat on the patio and he exited through a gate. He would not walk back through the restaurant. We will be reporting this incident to the ADA, and anywhere else that is appropriate. Social media too. And another insult was we were not offered a break on the bill. My sister was with us, who is a social worker, and was appalled at the employees and commented that we were being presented with the full bill. She also strongly encouraged us to file complaints, which she normally does not suggest. But this was the worst she'd seen. Those who abuse the service dog policy should be called out. We were placed in that category upon entrance. Judged and found guilty before we knew what was happening. I am so disgusted with your employees. I will say our server was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed his service. We loved the food. You can't afford this kind of incident and with social media, you really can't afford it. I took pictures of your service dog signage and the restaurant signage. Both will be included on social media. And in complaints if allowed/asked for. The gal that was the most offensive to us was wearing a light blue plaid shirt, had blond hair. Another gal was about to go clean the bathrooms and gave the girl at the counter a heads up. "he has a dog". Disgusting behavior and treatment. Your restaurant will be the topic of conversation for quite some...
