This is no 3 star hotel parking is tight diagonally . Would have trouble getting out of full exposed wires that are painted. Paint on floor where they have painted things to cover up the outdated decor. No soap limited towels no service at night when the drunks come in at 1 to 3 and wake everyone up. Limited TV stations Peeling paint people left trash at the table in front of our room I guess when they were sitting there at two in the morning being loud . In the morning you have kids running back and forth screaming . The rooms are small enough that you can't pass each other one has to be sitting somewhere else. The table in the room is only big enough for one person. The toilet seat is scarred and has pieces taken out of it. The toilet runs every once in a while by itself. Limited plugs by the beds . The plugs are across the room. And to top that off there is no ice because it's too cold to make it. Heat doesn't come on unless you have it set to high . And it's all steps. No maid service. When we asked why there were no towels or soap we were told the maid just forgot. It really seemed that it was I have your money to go away. Beds are comfortable and location is good for beach and boardwalk. Refrigerator and microwave work. At the most if it wasn't so outdated and have so many flaws it could be a two star but that's pushing it. It is ok if you just want somewhere to sleep. But good luck in that with the people coming in drunk and no one to quiet them down ...
Read moreMy wife has gotten spoiled going to really nice motels/hotels and was disappointed in this one. But she's not originally from NJ and this is only the second time she's been to the shore. I knew what to expect from the motels down here and was not upset at all. These motels are supposed to be just a place for you to shower and lay your head in-between sleeping and being out and about in the town.
Room had a decent amount of space. Bathroom was cramped but I'm a big dude so I'm a little biased. Kitchenette had pretty much all basic needs to cook a meal. Pot, pan, colander, spatula, spoon. Very few plates, bowls, glasses, silverware. It was good if you're trying to make a small meal at the room. Room was for the most part clean, AC worked, neighbors werent too noisy. TV was huge, and nice. Water was hot. Pool was okay. Had an outdoor shower for coming back from the beach. Parking lot is tiny but enough room to maneuver my fullsize SUV when it was full. Staff was nice and waited for us after we got stuck in traffic and were several hours late for checkin. Breakfast was pretty much just coffee. Great location to get on the beach and the boardwalk. Beach is literally a block down from the motel. Boardwalk is 2 or 3 blocks down.
My only real complaint was the room had ants, but I'll take ants over roaches or bedbugs any day.
All in all not a bad place and would stay again...
Read moreThe location to the beach and boardwalk is ideal, other than that this motel is a total bust. As soon as we walked in and my 2 year old took her shoes off there was instantly sand/ dirt on the bottom of her feet. Walked into the kitchen to put my things in the fridge and there were multiple ants crawling all over the counter and stove. Went into the bathroom that night to give my toddler a bath and noticed the hair wrapped around the bolt holding the toilet to the floor. Then once the bath was finished I went to grab a towel and noticed stains on all of them. The next morning we went to the beach and I noticed all of their laundry on the ground outside, as well as a little party area that was not cleaned up from the night before. (That’s not the motel’s fault… just rude people). Room service is only available upon request, but you have to request it the day before. When you’re in a beach town room service, or at least vacuuming, should be done daily regardless because of the sand. We also did not see 1 person go out and clean the pool the entire time we were there (3 nights). Overall I would not...
