We stayed in the ocean view king with kitchenette on the 4th floor for 3 nights. The view was absolutely amazing. Perfect view of the ocean. They have a roof top terrace with hammocks and the views from up there were equally as stunning but you have more of a panoramic view. Highly suggest watching the sunset/sunrise from up there. The room has 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed and a curtain to divide the "bedroom" from the main sitting area. Which can be nice if your staying with family / friends and need a bit of privacy. The bathroom was big and had plenty of room included a hair dryer. The water pressure was low but its to be expected as most hotels have crappy water pressure in their showers. The floors were all stone which I really liked due to sand from the beach and definitely alot cleaner than carpet as hard floors can be washed. The king bed fit me, my hubs and my 12yo no problem we had plenty of space. My mother in law slept on the couch, it does pull out to a sofa bed but she didn't use it she prefers the couch. The bed was comfortable for me but my hubs said his back hurt so its a preference thing. The pool was really nice, plenty of space even when there's alot of people. Lots of longers, and theres a nice sized hot tub which was usually full but not inaccessible. I didn't prefer the hot tub as it was July and already hot outside. The pool area is open 10am-10pm. Theres also a little cafe downstairs serving breakfast and lunch. The beach is very close, yes there's a walk but its to be expected if your familiar with wildwood beaches, but its literally right there. Theres boards to walk on to go to the beach and they go out pretty far so your able to walk on the boards about half way then you have like 2/3 minutes of walking on the sand to get to the waters edge. The beach had a little food stand, chair and umbrella rentals if using the marigold entrance its off to the right hand side and there are port-a-pots if nature calls. The location was also very quiet, no noise and not on a busy street. Oh the parking! Almost forgot...alot of the reviews on here complain about the parking, if you know how to park and arent parking a damn boeing airbus you'll be fine. Yes the spots are tight but again to be expected, they're trying to accommodate parking for alot of people. The only issue I saw was the idiots who parked on the lines or crooked, and I hate to say it, but it was alot of the out of stater's. Now my ONLY complaint and why I won't stay here again.....im a cigarette smoker and if im paying damn near 1k to spend 3 nights I best be able to smoke on the balcony. I 100% agree with no smoking in the rooms but they are a 100% smoke free property, cant even smoke outside on the balcony, no cigarettes, not even vape. You have to go all the way to the parking lot to smoke. Now I should have read the policies before I booked but that was my fault so I followed the rules while I was there but it did kinda irk me to have to go down from the 4th floor everytime I wanted to smoke. SOOO my fellow smokers beware. It didn't dawn on me to check because the last hotel allowed smoking on the balcony so it didn't even cross my mind. ALL IN ALL I really did enjoy it here and if your not a smoker lol then im sure it will be prefect.

Horrifically trained reception staff work at this hotel. It stems from their sorry excuse for a manager. She spoke so rudely and with utter disrespect to everyone in our party and family staying in an adjacent suite. I wish I could give 0 stars. We were treated so poorly that I couldn't help but write a review. The phone didn't work in the room, so we couldn't contact the desk. We were told we should check out early by the front desk staff. We had some unfortunate events happen unexpectedly right before our trip, including a broken foot and our two elderly adults taking ill. However, they refused to give us a second parking permit for their lot, despite the fact that we were staying in a suite for 4 adults and up to 6 guests total. Walking several blocks with babies, sick elderly, and a broken foot on your long-awaited beach vacation is NOT FUN OR RESTFUL. They wouldn't give us a refund and allow us to find alternate lodging that would accommodate our ailing party. It's been a rough vacation to say the least. Maid service was okay, but that is really all that I can say was positive about this establishment. And I say this even though I vacuumed my room myself twice, I had to empty my own garbage and recycling bins about 6 times, and I needed to restock our room's towels, tissues, and toilet paper multiple times. They didn't have any paper towels, napkins, dish detergent... And although our suite didn't have a sign, my cousin's room did, stating that leaving any dirty dishes in the sink would result in a $35 extra room charge. We cleaned our room meticulously, after reading the harsh wording on this sign. Though of course we always do a good job of cleaning our hotel rooms regardless. My cousin had to pay an extra $80 kid fee for her family of 2 adults, a 15 yo, and twin 12 yos for her SUITE, because they explicitly say the room holds 4 adults and up to 6 guests... I didn't understand that... This hotel doesn't care at all about the experience of the patron, and the establishment is clearly all about the bottom line. I'm saddened to say that it's turned me off to visiting this area at all ever again. It was mostly HOW multiple individuals in my party were spoken to by the staff: "You need to be out by 11, but you SHOULD leave by 10am." (as opposed to 'Checkout is at 11.'), "You'll get towed if you're parked in the hotel lot at noon or later."... I've just never been treated so rudely by hotel staff before... It surprised me that anyone working in customer service would speak to patrons in that way. Stay somewhere else if you want to actually have a vacation.

Reviews of Aqua Beach Hotel

We booked this hotel for the week of 7/8/19-7/14/19. The hotel we have stayed at previously was booked, so based off of positive reviews and proximity to the convention center, we took a chance on the Aqua Beach since their website boasts that the rooms were completely renovated in 2017, and we could walk to the boardwalk. We booked a Jade room (and stayed in room 410)- wanted to love it, and genuinely thought we would. Wrong. Immediately after check-in, we realized the floor in our unit was insanely squeaky- we have a 3yr old who doesn't understand the concept of "there are people below us" and is a very heavy walker. We immediately went to the front desk, explained, and asked if there was any other room we could be moved to so that they did not get complaints from the room below us. The girl looked in the computer, and said "let me check with my manager" which made me think there WAS indeed a room they could have moved us to. She returned and said they had no other room available, but "not to worry about any complaints they may get." Ok, fine. Not my problem then. We returned to our room. As we were getting settled in, we realized how slanted the beds were, and how the headboards were literally attached by two screws at the top, leaving the bottom to move freely. I genuinely was concerned about how safe that was hanging above my children as they slept.

On to the bathroom...the tub faucet was clearly not attached properly, and an attempt was made to be correct it with some additional caulking. When you pulled the lever up to get the shower going the faucet literally separates from the wall. The water pressure was horrendous. The bathroom vent sounded like a dying lawnmower from day #1....how someone hadn't complained about that previously I have no idea. Finally, on Thursday the vent started smelling like something was burning, with smoke coming out. I quickly went to the front desk played them a sound clip and said that it needed to be checked out. They DID indeed send someone in a timely manner to check it out and ultimately did install a new vent fan.

Housekeeping was hit or miss, the first couple days they came through early, took the trash and restocked our towels, toilet paper, etc. The last couple days that wasn't the case. We had to go to the front desk twice and ask for towels. The first time they said they would send some up, but 5 hours later I went back down, and was told they had no clean towels to give me...so after explaining I had 4 people to bathe they gave me pool towels instead. Our last full day there housekeeping never came. At 2:30 (housekeeping is between the hours of 10-2) my husband went down asking for towels and toilet paper. Our trash and recyclables were also full. They did come at about 3:30 to take care of that.

My husband is a coffee buff, and unfortunately there is no major coffee shop within walking distance so he resorted to the coffee from Bagel Time Cafe downstairs. It did the job, until Saturday when he returned to the room, drank his coffee and got a mouth full of coffee grinds. Guessing someone didn't put the filter in the coffee maker.

Up to check-out, we left early (around 7am) and I'm not sure whether the gentleman at the front desk was just tired and grumpy, or if that's his norm. He barely smiled, never asked how our stay was. The conversation went like this: I ring the bell for service, he yells from the back, "be right there" then comes out asking what I needed. I told him I had to check out, he goes "room keys?" I hand them to him, "what room?" I answer him. He goes to the computer, and says I'm good. No receipt, or confirmation of checkout. No wishes for safe travels, no "thanks for staying with us"...nothing. Just stone faced grumpy.

Giving the rating of a 2/5 solely for the location and the fact that the room WAS indeed clean. We expected a lot more for what we paid, and the other reviews we had read online. Unfortunately, we will not be returning...

RIP OFF!!! DON'T WAST YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I wasn't going to create this post as I am a very easy going individual that always tries to give others the benefit of the doubt. However I decided that I would be doing my fellow vacationers an unfair justice of not notifying them of my unfair experience regarding the terrible customer service I received from the owner Yari who runs this establishment! I ended up stopping in here late on Saturday night 9/28/2024 around 11:45 PM. as I had encountered car trouble and would not make the drive home. I discussed my stay with the employee working that night and it was determined that a walk in price would be $147 including tax, vs if I were to book online via hotels.com it would be about half that $79. Well worth the savings to book online. Due to the time spent discussing my stay and booking online the confirmation listed a date of 9/29/2024 as it had now passed 12:00 AM, meaning technically it was early Sunday morning 9/29/2024. I received confirmation and the employee ensured me that still could be applied to Saturday nights stay and that she would leave a note for the owner to see when she came in the next morning (Sunday) to make sure I received the discounted price of $79, she was very courteous and helpful. I went up to the room and slept. The next day (Sunday morning) 9/29/2024 I left at 10:30 AM, so I was not even there very long. When I reviewed my credit card bill I noticed I was charged the $79, then refunded the $79, and THEN charged FULL price $147!! I called the hotel and the individual working saw the notations regarding my situation and pricing, she said to call back when the owner Yari was working, which was the next day. THIS IS WHERE THINGS WENT BAD! I very nicely asked the owner to review my information and she immediately had a miserable attitude. She said she did not see any notations regarding any of this, then I explained to her that her employee I spoke to yesterday saw them, why couldn't she?.....she then replies "Oh I see them", lying -first red flag! I explained everything that was discussed with her employee that night and she proceeded to say I was a no show for my reservation on Sunday, I explained I wasn't staying Sunday, I stayed late Saturday night into Sunday morning. She then said it was my fault that I booked online and was "sorry" there was nothing she could do, really?! She's the owner and can't do anything to make it right in any way due to her employee's expectations that were ensured to me! I was even willing to accept all of that, and simply asked can she provide any kind of discount on a future stay...something, anything at all for the inconvenience?! Again it was "sorry". This place clearly only cares about taking your money, and once they have it, don't expect any kind of customer service if something isn't up to par, all you will get it "sorry". There are tons of hotels in this area, DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY HERE when you can stay someplace else with better customer service...clearly it wouldn't take much to surpass this place! The room was dated and gross, you could see daylight all around the door and hear everything outside. I'm not going to waste my time on the room details, it was garbage and certainly not worth $147! I'm reaching out to the Better Business Bureau regarding this whole experience. It's pretty sad how people are treated and ripped off in this world anymore, a simple little gesture from the owner would have gone a long way with me and represented their business in a positive manner. No one, or thing, is perfect. Discrepancies happen, however, attempting to make things right is key to success...

We come to the Aqua Beach whenever we stay in Wildwood. Location is Key and the Hotel is always clean. The hotel is off the Boardwalk but literally right next to it AND right on the beach. PERFECT! The rooms always seem to be updated and we have stayed in many style of rooms on different occasions. I am on my second day here at the Aqua Beach durring my Spring trip. The weekend before Memorial Day Weekend. We booked a Spring Package getaway. You can not beat the price! Our package included The Bimini Suite with a giant Jacuzzi tub. Very cute and cozy decor. Shabby Chic look to our room with wallpaper that looks like weathered wood. Pretty wood flooring and the furniture is lovely to match. Comfortable king size bed with clean sheets and pillows. Looks like a 32" flat screen TV that sits atop of a dresser. Small microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom has a Glass shower, Giant jacuzzi tub wich is amazing and works Great. The Room is Spotless. The room has an A/C heater/fan unit it also helps drownd out the noise from people walking by the room or the pool outside the room. I can see noise being a problem if you get irritated quickly with any type of noise. Purchase some earplugs for sleep if booking this room durring High Peak season. The pool will get loud and foot traffic may get you irritated. Off season not bad at all. When we arrived we had our choice of a variety of wines. They gave us a choice of like 6 different types of wines which was nice. We get breakfast each morning we are here for our stay at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast is made to order and HOT. Not some old donut from the hotel lobby like at some other hotels lol. We eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant whenever we stay at the Aqua Beach. We also received a Dinner voucher which we did not use yet. Will be using that tonight to go to Urie's restaurant. The hotel manager said you choose from options the restaurant puts aside for such vouchers but if want to order other things the voucher can be used percentage toward final bill. We also got to choose from a gold and silver activities package. A few of the activities were not readily available to us so the manager was sweet and gave us 2 passes to Morey's Pier to get on the rides. When we leave we get a Box of Salt Water taffy. Very nice very affordable Package deal for a Quick getaway weekend. The area is not nearly as crowded as it will be once summer hits. So it is a nice change of pace to beat the crowds. The hotel has a nice clean pool in the center courtyard of the hotel with large clean hot tub. I have been reading recent negative reviews about kids using the hot tub. It clearly states children a certain age range are NOT suppose to be in the hot tub. RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOT TUB. LOL that means NO kids a certain age are to go in!! Be a good MOMMY and DADDY and have your kid a certain age STAY OUT!! It is ok to say no you are the Parent the ADULT!! Other paying guests in the hotel would like to use the hot tub without having a toddler in Diapers or a 6 year old splashing hot water in their face. I have little kids when they visit they STAY OUT OF THE FRIGGIN HOT TUB!!! That is what the heated pool is for... The kids 😉ANYWAYS LOL Take the elevator all the way up to the roof and you can relax in one of the many hammocks they have set up and spread out. Look out onto the ocean and just relax. Book a room here for the great location to the boardwalk, tramcar, especially the beach and updated...
