I don’t even know where to begin from the moment we arrived on premises we are greeted with a smile. We went in to check in everybody was so very friendly. We arrived in our room and were blown away the size was amazing for our very large family of six. We stayed in room 309. A room had a kitchenette two double beds and a pull out couch. Everybody fit comfortably. The kitchen had all the utensils and supplies you would need to prepare food another awesome feature to this hotel is they have two propane grills out on a large patio where you can actually eat there’s umbrellas tables and chairs and there’s ample seating for multiple families. Upon entering the hotel the air conditioning was turned on it was ice cold inside always refreshing when coming from the heat on the beach. Room was spectacularly clean we even inspected the beds they appear to be brand new there wasn’t a speck of dust or dirt on them. The room was very tidy plenty of extra towels and supplies. They do offer a rollaway beds if needed. This hotel also has two separate pools one which is heated and one which is not both had ample seating to tan. The heated pool was beautiful on the chilly nights and the regular pool was awesome on the hot days. The lobby has lots of coupon books and brochures for activities around but if you just don’t know what to do ask the front desk like I did they have lots of great advice. I really wish I got the name of some of the staff there was a couple housekeepers in particular who knew we didn’t want housecleaning services but when they would see me in passing asked me if I needed anything for my room they were amazing and very friendly we did not take housekeeping services but they made sure they left me a bag of towels on my door daily. The parking is very safe and secure the building appears to be kept up very well. The pool water was checked on a daily basis for a chemical levels cleaned and sanitized this always made us feel good. The most important reason I’m writing this review is because we checked out a lot of area hotels they all seem to have this take it or leave it attitude but this hotel was great with us they were patient they answered all of our questions though the rates were a little higher it was definitely worth the money after seeing some of the other area hotels a lot of them were rundown inside the seats weren’t even white anymore not this hotel it was very nice .They appear to be mostly booked completely the entire stay we were there and everybody that I saw out on the patios or while cooking or in the pool all appeared to be very satisfied and happy I met one family that told me they come and stay at this hotel every year since the baby was six months old. This hotel is literally a stones throw from the boardwalk you can’t get much closer unless you’re paying hundreds of dollars more and staying on the boardwalk if you walk out the door to the hotel it is seriously one minute walk to the boardwalk . Here’s my frugal mom advice if you’re staying it gets chilly at night a lot of the stores on the boardwalk sell sweaters at triple the price of the stores that are down to the right a store called wet and wild I believe had awesome prices sweaters were well below the stores on the left so if you’re walking out of the hotel and you’re facing the boardwalk go to the right all the way down and there’s a few stores down there there often forgot about because there’s not much going on down there. But the prices in that store were phenomenal even for souvenirs I wish I found it when I first got there because paying $10 for a Wildwood sweater versus $35 is always better. Definitely stay here I can’t wait to book our next adventure and stay...
Read moreBetter than expected after reading the reviews, I was quite concerned. They do have an elevator directly outside of check in office. I selected this room with significant hesitation but due to us attending Cheerleading competition at the convention center, and requirements that we book through their website. I chose this hotel, but I was happy we did. It is less than 100 feet from board walk and convention center. We walked over each day. We had room 402 Deluxe oceanview suite. Despite being December I loved the belcony due to the view of the ocean. The receptionist on arrival at 0200, was great no problems with check in or check out, they allowed us to pay to check out late, for an additional fee, that I felt was very worth it. Our room was not the cleanest on arrival, used dental floss on wall near garbage, probably on scale 1-10 I would have given an 7, for cleanliness. Our sheets had stains on both beds, but I believe this was due to using linen company that provides the sheets. They were cleaned not recent stains. NO evidence of any bugs, believe me I was quite worried about this. The beds were very hard, but newer, I prefer soft beds. The bed in pull out couch was even worse and no one was able to sleep on it. Not even my kids. However I would certainly stay there again if we attend next year. I would recommend this hotel to anyone attending the convention center, or wanting to stay on the beach, in this location. My daughter accidentally broke a glass and housekeeping came to room within minutes and cleaned everything up.
There weren’t many name brand hotels in this area. Words of advice do not go the restaurant Patricks, horrible, Despite 4 out of 5 stars, many other restaurants in area closed due to “off season”. Also bring paper towels as with eating in the room we needed them, or napkins and I did end up having a roll of paper towels in my car...
Read moreOk if sleep isn’t important to you.
We recently stayed 2 nights due to our daughter competing in a cheer competition. The convention center is across the street so location wise it was very good. Other than that it’s a nightmare.
While initially our room was very clean , dated but clean , we did discover the spare blanket in the closet for the pull out sofa was covers in fresh stains. Completely disgusting.
The beds are rock hard very uncomfortable. Woke up each morning hurting head to toe, and that’s only after getting 3 hours of sleep because of the noise at night - which the management does nothing about. The walls are paper thin, can literally hear entire conversations in the next room . The worst was our neighbors let their 3 young children stay up until 2 am each night running , jumping, shrieking and screaming. Since we had to be up at 5 for early report time at the cheer competition, we got 3 hours of sleep each night.
When reporting a this to the front desk , they couldn’t care less and be more rude to me. I felt like I was the one rudely interrupting them just by walking into the office to report what happened. I was told in a very snarky tone , “I’ll leave a sticky note for the night manager.” Wow , a whole sticky note ! Gee thanks .
Well shockingly the sticky note didn’t work because night 2 was just as bad as night 1 with the wild rumpus next door until 2 am. I
I understand hotel managers can’t control their guests and it happens at all hotels , but to have such and “I don’t care “ attitude and literally do nothing and not even offer and apology or to move our room - that’s unprofessionalism and lack of...
