TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, TERRIBLE MANAGER, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY.
FINAL UPDATE: 17 days!!! That's right!!! It took 17 days for this troglodyte manager Tim to reply to me on 07/09/2024. Tim the manager wrote a whopping 100-word reply š¤Æ, making excuses and blaming the manager prior to him, even though the current manager was managing this @#$% show of a place at the time of our visit. No accountability Tim, that's him. At the very end of Tim's lackluster email to me (book reports were definitely not his strong suit) š¤, he faintly hurried to say sorry and made me a very insulting offer. Now I know why our waitress acted the way she did. Monkey see monkey do. š
I replied to Tim on 07/11/2024. I know, it was two days later, but at least it wasn't 17!!! š I sent Tim the email (the email I sent twice to the email the old manager set up. Remember, it was his fault.š) with new additions. But Tim is non-existent. He never replied. I bet it was too comprehensive for him. He's probably in his office, feet up on the desk, playing Candy Crush or beating on his chest like a ding dong and reading his management reference book, "THE LIARS CLUB" as he waits for his serotonin to kick in. Maybe, just maybe he's trying to think of another asinine excuse. 𤪠All management are liars. Delay, deny, deceive,š¤ that's one of this troglodytes mottos. He has many of them, I'm sure!!! š The management at this place doesn't care about you, me, or anyone else for that matter. Like most businesses, sadly, they and management only care about the bottom line and not the people who give they and he their jobs. We, the consumers.
UPDATE: Received a reply on 07/09/2024 and replied back to them today, 07/11/2024. Customer satisfaction is important. Waiting for a reply.
As you see, if you read the restaurants reply, they say many things. Read it. I emailed the restaurant three days ago and still have not received a reply. Good service starts from the top, and obviously, the top (management/owner) is lacking also. When you contact a business, they should reply to you within 24 hours. They are open 7 days a week, so in my opinion, they have no excuse. They want to regain my confidence, but right now, I have very little left.
We came here, 6/22/2024, and yes, we were at the Wilkes Barre location in the old Applebees in front of the Wyoming Valley Mall at approximately 4 pm. We've been here many times before. Today the service was not good. Our waitress was Rachel. We ordered three appetizers and hibachi dinners. After we ate our hibachi, she asked if we needed anything else. I told her to please don't charge us for the appetizers as we never received them. She quickly looked at her ticket and admitted she screwed up. She apologized to us, but in my opinion, that's not good enough. She should have tried to make it right, but she was very quick to put her head down and ran away. I get people make mistakes. But at least try to make it right. We were very disappointed with our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place WAS my husbandās favorite restaurant so we went for his Birthday today. As soon as we got inside, we were greeted by an extremely rude host who took us to our table and joked about running into my husband as we were trying to sit down. It was weird. The waitress then came over and told us they only have 2 alcoholic drinks available tonight (conveniently the 2 most expensive on the menu of alcoholic drinks). We then order our food. My husband got the hibachi chicken with noodles. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. The waitress insisted that I donāt want what I ordered and instead, she orders for meā¦because at 32 years old, I donāt know my own dietary restrictions.
She then asks if this will be one check or twoā¦while my husband and I are holding hands, both wearing our wedding rings, and she implies that she thought we were just friends or business partners. Like, we get it, youāre not used to gay married couples.
She then brings us our food. Remember how I ordered teriyaki chicken? Well, she just wrote down something else entirely even though itās clearly not what I ordered. What this waitress ordered for me went against my dietary restrictions (which is why I ordered something else). But the waitress knew better than me what I couldnāt have (Iām being sarcastic of course).
Rather than complaining (itās my husbandās birthday so I didnāt want to cause a scene), I ate some of it (what I could). Best part was, I immediately had to go to the restroom and got to enjoy the atmosphere of blasting music in the restroom. Im really appreciative theyāre so prepared for people to be sick they blast music in the restrooms like youāre standing next to the speakers at a rock concert. Iām genuine about that because I immediately had explosive diarrhea and horrible nausea for about 20 minutes before I even was finished eating.
When I came back to the table, I found out the waitress came back over to my husband 2 more times while I was in the restroom to ask him if he wanted to order desert but he just told her I was sick and weād like to leave as soon as possible. She then made us wait another 15 minutes after I got back to the table before she took the check because apparently telling a waitress your husband is sick and weād like to leave means make them stay as long as possible.
On the way home, I had to stop somewhere else because whatever the hell this waitress ordered for me, was now like food poisoning in my body.
Anyway, this was a perfect night. Rather than spending the evening cuddling with my husband on his birthday and enjoying the food at his ex-favorite restaurant, I get to spend it in a bathroom with food poisoning or sick from whatever this waitress ordered against my wishes. For the record, Iām writing this during round 3 of my trips to the restroom tonight and I canāt wait for round 4.
Thank goodness my husband agrees this was so terrible of an experience that itās no longer his favorite place so weāre never going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe manager Tim tried convincing my friend and I that the hair in my food was a mushroom piece before offering to bring me something else. He told me the kitchen staff has no beards or nose hairs when we showed him that's in fact what it looks like. They then proceeded to take the food back after taking it off the bill which is fine bc I was not going to eat it. When I posted a review they said "Then why did you want to take the food." My friend thought the manager Tim said you can take the food as she said she would give it to her dogs instead of it being wasted bc dogs don't care if they eat a hair unlike us humans. The table next to us witnessed all of this mentioned they too found hair in their food and said if they take that untouched plate to the kitchen we won't be eating here anymore. People all over the world can say we were extra or wanted a free meal, but that's not in fact what happened. As I mentioned my friend thought they said we'll box it and take it off after having him talking down to us and playing with the hair in front of multiple tables. If I ever go to a McDonald's and I see food go back in the window, I'm not going there. Throw it away in front of people, don't make excuses when a hair is in someone's food, and handle yourself more appropriately as a manager bc that was berating. Furthermore, as I was talking to the owner Tim was yelling over his shoulder saying don't come back here as if anyone who experienced that would want to return. I know accidents happen and it didn't have to be a big deal but this manager was speaking to us as if we made this up or were too stupid to tell a hair from a mushroom. Not okay. I suggest you come up with a new policy where if someone doesn't want their food and you take it off the bill that you don't try and convince them they're stupid before offering assistance and then dispose of the food so the rest of your tables don't think they're getting someone else's plate. As a business, this is not the type of management style that will keep customers as everyone around witnessed the behavior of this manager. Tim said by posting my experience I was bashing them and that's why he commented "then why did you want to take the food." That speaks wonders on how he was immediately offended when we told him there was a hair hence for all of his excuses. My friend is a doctor so believe me when I tell you, nobody was hunting for a free meal. For the record, once they told us we couldnt take the food we said okay not a problem we thought he said to take it. Everyone has hairs and nose hairs, this could have all been avoided if they simply would have said I apologize for that can we get you something else instead of getting upset and defensive because they made a mistake. As for the owner I spoke to, he reassured me he would be having a discussion with Tim on how he reacted because that's essentially what was the...
